20.01.2022 Introducing our members: Tim Li - Pianist Tim Li, pianist, started the cello recently as a mid life crisis. His son George was so good, that he got very jealous and wanted to show the world how amazing he was. In his words he tried to justify it by saying ‘It is never too late for anybody to learn a new instrument. I had my first cello lesson this week. If I can start at my age, anyone can’. He successfully completed his AMEB Preliminary last year with a High Distinction. As... of 2019, he can now proudly play a G Major scale. He has decided the next step in his journey is to pick up the Oboe and the contra-bassoon. He hopes to have completed at least three exams in the near future before deciding once and for all that strings are the best family of instruments. Tim Li continues to regret his choice to become a pianist all those many years ago, and hopes by the age of sixty to be as good a cellist as his fellow trio member. See more
