06.01.2022 Fairbairn Juniors are crowned 2020 Junior Pennants Champions What a fantastic final that was against a very strong team from Federal, and a thoroughly deserved 4-3 win for the superstars from Fairbairn! Full credit goes to Federal for the season they had, comfortably topping the points table and contributing to a cracking final. I’m sure I speak for all of our supporting crew when I say we couldn’t be prouder of the way our juniors played and conducted themselves thro...ughout the season, so well done team! Special mentions for everyone - To Junho and Victoria, sadly through injuries and other circumstances we didn’t get to see as much of you as we hoped but this victory is definitely yours to share too! To Lachie and Tom, our numbers 1 and 2, it’s been great to watch you guys always giving it everything in your matches. You have led the team brilliantly so well done boys. To Kalea, such a shame you missed the final through injury but congrats on a great season! To Reynan, Sebastian and Joey, you boys have all had terrific seasons and contribute immensely to the spirit in the team. Well done to Seb and Joey for picking up great wins in the final too! Finally, to Julian and Will, our cool cats under pressure in the final both picking up very impressive wins in extra holes in front of a big crowd! Your ability to hold your nerve and come through in that situation was great to watch so big congratulations guys. A final big thank you to everyone involved with the team this year. We’ve got a great group together and it’s been an absolute pleasure to manage the team. Fairbairn are the 2020 Junior Champions! Hope you all enjoyed the ride Words: Al Maciver

06.01.2022 Fairbairn Juniors go to the final! A thoroughly deserved result for each and every player after a very strange season involving the big postponement and a number of forfeits. It’s been a pleasure to watch the team play every round with consistently high levels of enthusiasm, sportsmanship and determination. Well done everyone!... Sadly, over the last two rounds we didn’t manage a single competitive match with round 6 washed out and then a full team forfeit from our opponent in round 7. Having seen our final chances seemingly disappear due to the washout, the results falling our way in the final round feels like a pretty fair outcome. Only one special mention this round which is to everyone for still coming out and playing a few matches just for fun after the forfeit. A couple of cliffhangers in there! Oh, and maybe a quick mention to Will for his hole out from the bunker for a birdie on 16. Nice shot Will So, on to the final next week against Federal. Let’s bring it home! Words: Al Maciver
