22.01.2022 Heyho! Our new website is live at www.fairbridgefestival.com.au, with our first announce of artists for the 2021 festival. SO excited! Germany's The Beez return to the festival after warming the hearts of audiences with their oompah take on classic pop tunes with a show titled Look What We’ve Done to Your Song. From the UK comes street performance from Big Rory & Ochie. A 9-foot-tall Scotsman and his appallingly behaved dog that always have audiences in fits of laughter. ... Joining them are a mix of local and interstate acts that provide everything from delicate heartbreaking song to late night boogie. Leading Australian singer/songwriters head a strong contingent of interstate artists. Blackeyed Susans vocalist and one-time guest singer in The Triffids, Rob Snarski brings his velvet-voiced performance with superb guitarist and producer Shane O’Mara. Taasha Coates from The Audreys performs in duet mode with a new album, whilst Nicky Bomba’s Bustamento play Calypso, Ska and Reggae and are guaranteed to have audiences bouncing on the dance floor. On the home front, the incredible Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse return with brilliant jazz pianist Russell Holmes and the Dolce Quartet. A unique performance from Richard Walley’s Six Seasons with Junkadelic Brass Band featuring Noongar singers is also sure to be a festival highlight. Rounding out the more contemporary side of things are the stunning vocal and songwriting talents of Carla Geneve, the soulful Afro-beat stylings of Adrian Dzvuke, the exquisitely unforgettable Alter Boy and the wonderful Kohesia Ensemble led by bassist Kate Pass. These eleven acts represent a small slice of a program that heralds the return of one of Australia’s most loved family-friendly festivals. Tickets on sale THIS MONDAY November 16 from 7am! Check out www.Moshtix.com.au for more details.

12.01.2022 Fairbridge Festival has been a huge supporter of local musicians and artists for over 27 years now. It’s Australian Music T-Shirt Day and it reminded me of another not-for-profit who has been supporting local music since 1977 and continue to nurture the local music community every day, 24/7. Huge love to you RTRFM 92.1 #ausmusictshirtday Speaking of support, Support Act has been helping musicians, crew, their families and others who have fallen on hard times. #ausmusictshirtday is a way to raise money to go towards supporting those within our music industry that have been hit the hardest recently. Please head to the website to donate today. https://www.ausmusictshirtday.org.au

10.01.2022 A message from Stu: In another reality, it is the last day of the festival, people are laughing, smiling, dancing Children are running around with their friends, busking, creating mini masterpieces in Paper Scissors Rock. Families are sitting down to lunch whilst music fills the air The Fairbridge Festival crew are working diligently to keep everything running smoothly and our 400 volunteers are full of energy and enthusiasm as we push ahead with the last day The reality t...oday is very different, as we find ourselves in a surreal situation, forced apart, working from home, isolated and seeking comfort in online communications with friends and family. Whilst I am truly disheartened that we were not able to bring the festival to you this year, I have been blessed with a team of hard-working staff, volunteers and supporters that have pressed on, creating opportunities and keeping spirits high through all of this. The Festival Operations Facebook Group has been abuzz with shared memories and constant posts on what people are up to during this year’s virtual festival. It is such a beautiful thing to be able to read these posts and transport yourself to the festival site. I want to personally thank every one of our staff, our volunteers and all of those people who have emailed through with letters of support, donations and anything else they can do to offer help and assistance. It is through this community support that we will be able to continue through until next years’ festival; one that promises to be a cathartic celebration of those freedoms we have taken for granted. The freedom to be together, to hold each other, to share experiences in one space and witness the performances of truly world class artists as we feel the music flowing over us. I cannot wait for the next festival. I know you feel the same way. Until then, stay in touch as we plan and plot the course ahead. Much love to you all! Stu
