06.01.2022 Honeybee by Craig Silvey has been racing out the door. The long awaited book from the author of Jasper Jones will not disappoint. This morning (Saturday) we have had internet and phone outages which has meant we haven’t been able to respond to any of your messages etc. The issue has been sorted now but there is a lot of catching up to do. 01.01.2022 This book might break your heart but along the way you will love the writing, the description of a country childhood, a wonderful sense of place and a meditation on what it is to be an artist. A young boy is traumatised and goes on to live an insular and lonely life but eventually rediscovers his love of drawing and painting. @sofielagunabooks builds the tension at various times to an almost unbearable level as you hope Lawrence doesn’t go down a certain path.
