11.01.2022 Fairfield City Leisure Centres is excited to announce it is re-introducing outdoor one-on-one personal training and group sessions. Commencing, Friday 29 May, group sessions will be held four times daily on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Fairfield Showground Festival Arena. The one-hour group sessions are only $5 each and are run at 7.30am, 9.30am, 11.00am, and 4.00pm. ... Sessions numbers are limited to ten participants and must be paid and pre-booked by calling Prairiewood Leisure Centre 9725 0337 between the hours of 7.30am and 3.00pm, Monday to Friday. 09.01.2022 Mayor of Fairfield Frank Carbone and Council made the decision to delay the reopening of Council-run outdoor swimming pools as it is not practical due to the NS...W Government COVID-19 restrictions. Changes to NSW Government restrictions come into force tomorrow, permitting Council to reopen outdoor swimming pools to the public with new rules in place restricting the number of swimmers to 10 at any one time, and the use of change rooms not allowed. 07.01.2022 New rules in place for gyms and fitness centres mean Fairfield 24-hour gym will only be accessible during staffed hours Under the new rules, all gyms and fitnes...s centres must: have a dedicated COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshal on duty at all times. Gyms and fitness centres must take all reasonable steps to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Businesses who fail to be compliant will risk facing a fine or venue closure. Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the extra measures are necessary to stop the spread of the virus.
