21.01.2022 The challenging times being experienced across Victoria and the rest of the world continues as we navigate our way through the COVID19 Pandemic. As the rain comes down across the Goulburn Murray Region it seems appropriate to share this post by much loved and regular Fairley Leadership Program presenter Warren Davies - The Unbreakable Farmer. Stay safe and well everyone and remember to be kind and please reach out if you need to talk to someone.... "We are all facing the same storm, but we are not necessarily in the same boat, was a topic of conversation in a pre presentation briefing this afternoon with the Bureau of Meteorology" It mirrored many conversations, particularly related to COVID-19, I have had over the last few weeks. Many people are experiencing a gamut of feelings and emotions, stressors and challenges at the moment, which is perfectly normal. I know for me, each day is like a roll of the dice. It is totally ok to be feeling like its business as usual, as it is also perfectly Ok Not To Be Ok. Its important in times like these, as a community, we have empathy for the people around us. Everyone you meet is travelling a journey you know nothing about. Be Kind.... Be kind to others, and importantly, be kind to yourself. Lean in and support the people around you and reach out to your network to support yourself. 01.01.2022 As the COVID-19 crisis continues and remote work remains the norm, workplaces have become more and more driven by technology. All over the world, peoples lives have been turned upside down. That means, more than ever, leaders have to focus on the humans behind the screens.... According to professor, author and leadership guru Bren Brown, it will be the curious leaders that spur on successful teams and reap the rewards of productivity. "Performance, accomplishments and achievements do not have to be mutually exclusive to empathy and caring for your team members. The leaders who are still going to be standing in five years are the leaders that dont see them as mutually exclusive, but [are] completely dependent on both. Much of Browns work focuses on the irreducible needs of humans love and belonging and during the COVID-19 pandemic, these are more important than ever.
