17.01.2022 2020 Fairpark JFC AGM As the 2020 season (that never was) draws to a close, the committee is preparing to wrap up this year, and plan ahead for 2021! Clearly Victorian lockdown has had a major impact on our year, but also dampens our chances of holding our annual AGM. So this year, we have decided that the proceedings required under the constitution to dissolve the committee and vote a new committee in, will be handled a little differently. We will present the AGM report as r...equired with reports from President, Footy Ops Manager, Treasurer and Secretary, and invite coaches to submit a reflection as well (formal reports not required) to club email [email protected] by Sunday 5th September. We will consider all club positions open for nomination, and ask that current committee, coaches, trainers, runner, canteen etc express their intention to continue on in their role in 2021 in writing to [email protected] by Sunday 5th September. If ANY club member wishes to nominate for a position on the committee, game day team or canteen, please also email interest to club email above by Sunday 5th September. Dont forget, we are yet to fill the SECRETARY and VICE SECRETARY roles, and invite nominations particularly for these roles. If there are any positions still open for nomination, or any positions with multiple nominees, we will run vote via email to all club members, from Monday 6th September to Sunday 13th September. Following this process, we will distribute the 2020 AGM report, and formally wrap up the season. Many hands make light work, and most important in voluntary positions required to run a football club, supporting your children to play the greatest game! PLEASE consider helping either on the committee, or on the field, as the more volunteers we have, the less work each person needs to do. Thank you to all our wonderful sponsors, current committee, coaches, gameday staff and all volunteers around the club. We are stronger for the contribution you all make. Lets look forward and make 2021 as season to be proud of!! #allforthepride #ourheartbeatstrue #golions See more

14.01.2022 **COVID-19 ISOLATION UPDATE FROM EFNL** Hey Lions, Just touching base with some information from the EFNL following a Zoom meeting with clubs on Tuesday night. The EFNL discused a potential plan for return to training, social distancing restrictions and the possibility of the 2020 season going ahead.... The key takeouts were that the EFNL have advised that NO TRAINING IS TO RESUME UNTIL AFTER 31st MAY, 2020, and the EFNL will hold a meeting on 1st June to assess the government restrictions at that time, and advise clubs on the next steps. They have advised that "IF" the 2020 was to go ahead and training was to resume, there would be strict social distancing rules in place regarding training, game day and social functions. If training was to resume in June under the current restrictions, numbers would be limited to 10 players/one coach in a squad, one team on the ground at a time, no changerooms to be used, 1.5m social distancing rules apply at training, strict sanitation rules regarding sanitising balls before and after training, players having their own drink bottles, no parents at training, and no coaches, players or parents to crossover between training groups. The season would not likely start before mid-July and potentially consist of a 7 week season with 2 weeks of finals. For game days, it is indicated that there will be no canteens and no social functions throughout the season. Tonight the Fairpark Junior Exec Committee and Coaching group met to discuss the information and work through the logistics of what this could mean for our club IF we were to go ahead. The EFNL are finalising their meetings with all clubs this week then will seek feedback on clubs appetites for season 2020 to resume under these restrictions. Some of the larger clubs have indicated it is not logistically possible to run training under those conditions. We also discussed the safety risks to kids throwing them into the coldest part of the season without sufficient training, the loss of enjoyment for kids without having team bonding in rooms, a hot dog and a kick around with mates after the game, or a huddle whilst singing the song! We will keep you up to date as we receive further information from the EFNL, and give as much notice as possible if we look like a return to footy this year. We are not convinced at this stage that it is feasible given the above information. We hope you are all keeping well, trying to keep fit and healthy, and look forward to a kick around soon. #allforthepride #ourheartbeatstrue with Danny Russo.
12.01.2022 Only a few months now until we start our Auskick season, I know scary considering how hot it is at the moment. Great fun for everyone and everyone is welcome at the den. https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi
12.01.2022 2020 Player Registration Fees Rollover With cancellation of the 2020 junior season, we are conscious that many members had already paid registration fees, and asking about the rollover of fees into 2021. Fairpark JFC has agreed to Rollover 100% of 2020 Registration fees paid into the 2021 Season. We also confirm that the registration fees for 2021 will remain at the same price as 2020, so those who have paid in full in 2020, are fully paid for next season! The EFNL also sugg...ested that given clubs still had operating expenses in 2020, to facilitate the training that was, sanitisation equipment, electricity for lights etc, that some members might opt to donate their 2020 fees (or part thereof) to the club to help cover this years expenses, and subsequently pay for 2021 registration fees when they fall due next year. The only income the club has received this year is a $1000 Council Grant for Club Sustainability and a $1440 contribution from our major sponsor POWERDRIVE AUTOMOTIVE towards the cost of the training tshirts. Therefore we have 2 options to put to members: 1. DO NOTHING Fees will automatically rollover to 2021 It will be assumed that all 2020 Registration fees paid this year will automatically rollover to 2021 season. There is no need to contact the club unless your child is not planning on playing football with us in 2021. If so please email Secretary to discuss. 2. DONATE 2020 REGISTRATION FEES TO THE CLUB If you wish to donate your 2020 registration fees (or part thereof) to the club to help cover expenses for this year and keep the club sustainable, please email Secretary/Treasurer to [email protected] to request the donation be made. You will be notified in the new year when 2021 registration fees are due. We greatly appreciate all donations. Unfortunately, the EFNL fee for registration of $21 is non-refundable, and will be payable again in 2021 when registrations are complete. This does not rollover into 2021. Thank you again to everyone who has helped to keep our club sustainable! Special thanks to our major sponsors POWERDRIVE AUTOMOTIVE who have contributed nearly $1,500 in 2020 to the cost of the training tshirts. They look amazing, and the kids are loving them. But to be able to offer at a subsidised rate is amazing. #allforthepride #ourhearbeatstrue
