24.01.2022 The weather today was challenging to say the least but our local member - Sabine Winton MLA for Wanneroo braved the elements and came along to join the throng of residents and soon to be residents at The Green. It's always a terrific morning with the beautiful breakfast Peter and his band of merry men (and women!) put on each Sunday. Today was no different. Residents enjoyed the opportunity of chatting with Sabine who also had time for a quick tour of the Green's Community C...entre. She departed after promising to come back and meet the residents to find out more about their thoughts on various issues and subjects particularly pertinent to retirees and seniors, and of course local issues. 20.01.2022 HomeBuilder grant triggers real estate and land enquiry frenzy - and it's certainly reflected with the interest here at Fairway Villages - The Green. This graphic from realestate.com.au shows perfectly just what has happened in the last 7 weeks with many seeking to take advantage of the Government grants that are not exclusive to First Home Buyers for a change. This was reported by News.com.au:... "The governments new homebuyer grant has triggered a land rush with demand for vacant residential property surging in the last two months. Emails to real estate agents enquiring about land sales soared by nearly 60 per cent in June after the HomeBuilder scheme was announced, according to figures from realestate.com.au. The $25,000 handout for those building a new home for less than $750,000 was intended to incentivise first time buyers and this group has responded in droves. Enquiries from new buyers looking for vacant land was up nearly 180 per cent, compared to homeowners rising by 35 per cent and investors just 26 per cent. Its obviously going to be very positive for the construction sector, REA Group director of economic research Cameron Kusher said of the industry that has suffered mass job losses since coronavirus rattled the Australian economy. The main thing though is that HomeBuilder is a stimulus package much more designed for house and land than it is for apartment builders, who certainly seem to be missing out." 11.01.2022 Want to upgrade your tile selection? Well to go for bigger tiles you also have to get strip drains. These are lovely elongated drains that use part of your chosen tile to blend in. It helps drain the water in the correct way so that you don't get any overflowing or leaking but looks great! Which look do you prefer?

Rod and Yao can't wait to make this their home away from home and both being avid golfers...Yao the Christmas Island champ no less, they will be in their element here.

09.01.2022 I was taking some new clients around the Community Centre and Village yesterday and saw this fantastic group of residents from our Village... plus a visitor or two, enjoying the Art and Craft centre. Today I happened to catch up with the lovely Margi who has given me her thoughts on yesterday's session: Our first craft room get together happened yesterday. Vicki T got it started and a large number of ladies turned up with their various crafts. Painting, drawing, colouring in..., plus knitting as well as other activities. We also had a couple of ladies come to see what was going on who made coffees and teas. Cakes were on hand so a great morning was enjoyed by all. Bookings are being made for more of these Art and Craft sessions to be held on Wednesdays from here on in. 08.01.2022 Burgo's Big Brekky and the 6IX radio show was a resounding success from all the feedback from the Green's residents and the many visitors that came along to be a part of the fun whilst checking out the Village and of course enjoying the Champagne breakfast on this chilly morning. One of the comments I receive all the time is that visitors enjoy speaking with the residents and hearing first hand all about the Village. So...thanks again to our marvellous community for making so... many new people welcome this morning. 06.01.2022 Today was the first of the Wellness series of information sessions in the Community Centre organized by the Council of Owners here at The Green. A very interesting session on Diabetes with great presentations by Pharmacist Karishma Doolabh and Robyn Crow from Accu-Chek. Plenty of questions were forthcoming during the presentations and afterwards visitors took the opportunity to seek out speakers one on one. There was also the opportunity for visitors to have a cuppa and meet... a few of The Green's residents and find out more about living at The Green.
