25.01.2022 Think about this. PLEASE!! Running a DOG on a hard surface for klms. Its not good the two legs & its worse for four legs. Twice as much foot & leg pain. DONT do it. AND heres a tactic for you if you see this. Call it out. Suggest walking instead or running. If you can run then your dog may be able to as well BUT thats not guaranteed.

24.01.2022 WARNING - Watch your dogs!! This snake was snapped yesterday at Black Rock on the footpath ramp at the Beach near the BIG CLOCK on the roundabout near the shopping centre. They’re coming out of winter sleep into the warmth & sunshine. My Duke spends a lot of time in the bushes at the beach but now is when I’ll keep him closer. Too risky

24.01.2022 Here’s today’s puppy combination. The big one is Basil is 12 months old and is a staghound cross. Little Biscuit is a Cavoodle at 19 weeks. Both are equally gentle with each other.

It really does reflect beautifully on their days too. The Royal Botanical Gardens have a special place in my heart. The New Zealand collection is where I love to dream of my homeland.

19.01.2022 Ive begun to take extra precautions here at FAIRY DOG MOTHER. And Duke & Murphy arent impressed. Im washing their handihocks in soap & water before entering the house. My environment now feels much cleaner all round. Soon we wont go out at all. Im so grateful for my large back garden. Its becoming more unnerving & saddening to be walking my FDM maties on the beach. Out early this morning thinking Id be alone there but many had the same idea. Im getting really really c...areful & dont want my boys to romp & wrestle with other dogs. Or to have people pat them as Ive seen happening with others today. Too much risk. I understand that dogs dont contract COVID19 & arent carriers - BUT if people touch them who have COVID19 then thats a surface where it sits. Soooo .... taking every caution now is better than total regret later. No point in debating the possibilities- like letting people off Cruise ships & expecting them to do the right thing. IM DOING THE RIGHT THING in my opinion for the good of MYSELF & others. RIGHT!? See more

18.01.2022 Meet Alfie a 10 month old English Bulldog experiencing his first day at school with the Dukester & myself, the Fairy Dog Mother. His little face makes me laugh so often & that causes him to react with pushy snuggles, so we’re a great team. So far there’s been a lot of hot air & territory marking. My potted marigold as never seen so many underbellies and is missing a flower or two. As it’s a cool day & Alfie is raring to go we will head out for an educational trot. It’ll be a sniff & pee walk.

The day before was horrified to watch as many people gathered to chat & pat each others dogs. ... NO NO NO !! COVID19 has changed everything for us & now I only walk very early to avoid any contact. Murphy is to be sure to be sure one of the family here during this awful crisis. His Mum is an at home working MUM whos also caring for her daughter in an apartment. It is with much pleasure that I get to care for her other LOVE Murf..... BOTH DUKE and myself are really so grateful for his presence at FAIRY DOG MOTHER and for Sarahs generosity in doing so. Win/win doesnt say enough!! Im truly BLESSED to know such GOOD people. MURPHY really is such a character & the boys love each others company.

I am doing the right thing with the BOYS on lead so they dont socialise, dont get touched

08.01.2022 Duke the ditch digger. Hes got good at this over his lifetime. Hes always done this just the same way. Take a stick up the beach, drop it and dig a ditch dragging the stick backwards, kicking it out as he goes. REPEAT, take the stick back to the top of the ditch, dig, drag, kick backwards, dig, dig, dig. REPEAT over n over n over till hes gotta take a break. No wonder hes got such great abs.

Their lives go on quite BLESSED whilst I am creating a new world in which to find a future to survive. ... These two know when to gather closely to give me the cuddles I need to get through another day in isolation. Alone were doing it together.

06.01.2022 From excitement & gooby fun. Alfie’s first day at Fairy Dog Mother & the big sleep on his way home. The day began with getting to know the Bossboy then both boys having a peeing competition on my potted marigold. Alfie found a grubby bit of rain water to wallow in. And after the announcement of another lockdown off we went to the Botanical Gardens.

02.01.2022 Socialising is the best part of Doggy Day Care for all of us. It is so amazing and a great pleasure to see how these four legged cuties get to know each other. Some fellows may take a little time and gentle encouragement, but for most they simply work it out amongst themselves. An outing can be hilarious at times and of course one or two of them want to be out front to show who's the leader and often they take turns.

02.01.2022 Not really subtle at all. This is their LETS GO.... Lets go NOW LOOKS. If I walk around the streets here in Hampton, Ive begun to disinfect their feet before entering the house. Im thinking the beach will soon be off limits for us, to be safe, to be sure, to be sure So itll be fun & games in my garden. Blessed be that BIG back garden.
