20.01.2022 I've been taking the time after the SA lockdown lifted to relax and reassess what's really important in my life. A highlight for me was visiting an alpaca farm in the Adelaide Hills One achievement during this downtime - Fairyfox Digital now has a website! I appreciate any feedback about the website, or if you discover any bugs, comment below or send me a message. If you know anyone who is looking for social media support, or wanting to create an online presence for their business, share this Facebook page or share the website at https://www.fairyfoxdigital.com

15.01.2022 What do you value most in life? For me it's having time to take it slow and enjoy life. To do things that I enjoy. 2019 was when I learnt the value of slowing down. One thing that I prioritise in life now is work-life balance. I’m from Singapore, where life is competitive and you’re always caught up with climbing the career ladder. That’s all I knew and that’s what I did, always pushing myself, all the way through my 20s. ... I was juggling between working part time, studying at TAFE, and family obligations. I found myself starting to burn out and it was hard to be positive about life. I recognised that I was feeling stressed out, but it was hard to seek help. It was difficult but I worked on changing my mindset, and towards the end of 2019 I left my job in life sciences. That break was crucial in helping me recover and see the bright side of life again. Now it’s 2021, and despite everything going on in the world right now, I know it's going to be the best year in this decade of my life. 14.01.2022 #: You may have read my post last Wednesday about how it’s important to grow that relationship with people you work with. If you’re a small business owner, this is one of your strengths! You are able to build that personal connection with your customers. It’s more difficult for bigger corporations to do this.... During this pandemic, it’s common for everyone to feel uncertain about the future. The most important thing you can do now is to continue building your relationship with current customers, to reassure them that you are here for them. Even if you think you can’t offer anything, the simplest gestures, like a listening ear, are often most appreciated. ---- #BusinessTips #CustomerRelationships

12.01.2022 It's upsetting to hear about the new restrictions in SA today but I'm all for it if it helps to control the spread of COVID. After all, 2 weeks of closures is better than months. Stay positive SA, we've been through this once, we can do it again!

11.01.2022 #: . When I came to Australia to study at university, I didn’t know anyone in Adelaide. With my family an 8 hour flight away back in Singapore, I knew I had to step out of my comfort zone to meet other people so that I could build a support network in Australia. . It was intimidating but I did just that. During orientation week, my goal was to speak to one new person each day. And by the end of that week, I had met many people who I’...m still firm friends with today! . It’s the same with your brand if you’re stuck with ideas on how to grow your business during this pandemic, explore new ways to connect with customers: . Re-branding I’ve seen this in the fashion industries where businesses are now making face masks due to high demand . Start a conversation interact with your customers! Ask questions about what they’re up to, run a product giveaway, or show snapshots about what you’re doing during this time. Remember it is all about building a relationship, not just hard selling. . Consider advertising if you have budget to do so with more people staying at home and going online, try social media advertising! You might find it works well for your brand. . I hope these tips have been useful to you. If you’re still lost on how to grow your brand on social media, send me a DM. . . Can’t wait to help you navigate the social media world xx ---- Photo of Isabel during her university orientation trip to Granite Island, Victor Harbour. #SocialMediaTips

08.01.2022 How did 2020 fly by so quickly? It's only 7 more days til the start of a brand new year. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Today I'll be heading off to a friend's farm for Christmas lunch and catchup. When I visited the farm last year, I was told that there were plans for a hillside full of chooks. Watch this space for photos! If you've got time off from work this festive period, what are your plans?

05.01.2022 A few months ago, I learnt that you could create and schedule Instagram posts on your computer. I always thought that you had to use your phone to post on Instagram. . . I attended a breakfast event where the focus was on social media marketing. One of the panellists explained about Facebook Creator Studio. This tool could be used to schedule posts on both Facebook and Instagram, and it was completely free! .... . Here’s how to use the Creator Studio: Go to your Facebook page and click Publishing Tools Under Tools, click Facebook Creator Studio In the top sidebar, you can switch between your Facebook and Instagram page to schedule and create posts through the Creator Studio . . If I hadn’t focused on continuously growing my social media knowledge, I would not have learnt this information! So for those out there who are on the fence about paying for professional development events, I encourage you to go for it and invest in yourself. --- Photo credit: Pexels (Cristian Dina) #SocialMediaTips #InstagramHacks
