23.01.2022 One tiny thing was accomplished today. I cut out the robe for the king and pieces for the pot plant. I am a bit frustrated trying to arrange the cut pieces in the way I drew them, but it is not working.

15.01.2022 One tiny thing a day is how I get my sewing done. Today I found green felt to match my green trim. I am not sure that it matches yet, I will have to look in the sunlight tomorrow. But if I use the green felt on a pot plant on the other side to the king, which purple should I use for his robe???

08.01.2022 One tiny thing a day saw this page get finished today. I sewed the robe and pot plant down. Thankfully someone noticed from yesterday's post that I had a couple of the pot plant pieces upside down. With that fixed the pieces fit together nicely like I had drawn

07.01.2022 My one tiny thing a day is turning into one tiny thing a week at the moment. I am disappointed. My pully system for the portcullis is not working. My mum suggested I try grommets on either side of the portcullis instead of one in the middle but that didn't help. I found a few alternative things to try instead of the suede thread which might slide better. I can only think of one more thing to try... satin ribbon for the sliding rails at the back instead of felt. If that doesn't work, I think Tahlia will have to just manage the portcullis by hand. Any other ideas?

06.01.2022 Sometimes you do more than one tiny thing a day, especially when you get excited about the project. The felt I was waiting for arrived so I am back making my arena. I have traced patterns and cut out pieces and started sewing. But I need advice. Does the black or wooden portcullis look better??
