24.01.2022 Hello Family! Welcome to Day Eleven of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Matthew 15:27 (TPT)... [27] "You're right, Lord," she replied. "But even puppies get to eat the crumbs that fall from the prince's table." A gentile woman understood that she didn’t qualify for the privileges reserved only to the members of a family. She was outside of the Covenant God had made with His friend; Abraham. Instead of feeling mistreated and left out in the cold, she appealed to Jesus’ heart full of compassion and overflowing with mercy. Her faith in His Love proved irresistible! Matthew 15:28 (MSG) [28] Jesus gave in (or perhaps caved in!). "Oh, woman, your faith is something else. What you want is what you get!" Right then her daughter became well. If a gentile woman outside of the Old Covenant was able to receive the healing for her loved one, how much more do the sons & daughters of the New Covenant receive the Bread of Healing from the Lord’s table? Blessings, Steve

22.01.2022 Hi Faithlife! Here is Day Fourteen of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. 1 Corinthians 10:16 (NLT)... [16] When we bless the cup at the Lord's Table, aren't we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren't we sharing in the body of Christ? We cannot overemphasise the significance of what Christ did for us individually, but also corporately - as a community. The fact that we share the bread & cup at the table means we are one in Christ. Your needs should impact me. Your victories will encourage me. God’s blessing on your life brings hope to me. Your ‘trip-ups’ prompts me to pray for you. I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. Luke 22:32 Blessings, Steve

22.01.2022 Hello Church! Welcome to Day Twenty-Five of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. 2 Samuel 9:7 (CSB)... [7] "Don't be afraid," David said to him, "since I intend to show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all your grandfather Saul's fields, and you will always eat meals at my table." After David becomes king and has reunited all of Israel, he begins to search the kingdom for any descendants of Jonathan. He finds Mephibosheth, who is crippled, and is elevated to the status of David’s household. Mephibosheth immediately receives his permanent place at the King’s table. Isaiah 54:10 [10] Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant kindness be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Blessings, Steve

20.01.2022 Hello Everyone! Welcome to Day Sixteen of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Acts 2:46 (NLT)... [46] All the believers worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity, [47] all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. The members of the Early Church built an entire culture that maintained the Lord’s Table as its central focus. They shared their lives together, generously. No one was in need. There were daily worship services, both in public and in their homes. There was such an outpouring of God’s favour with those outside the ever-growing circle of believers. And every day the Lord added to His Table, those who were being saved. Blessings, Steve

16.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Here is today's devotion for the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Hebrews 9:1-2 (NLT)... [1] "That first covenant between God and Israel had regulations for worship and a place of worship here on earth. [2] There were two rooms in that Tabernacle. In the first room were a lampstand, a table, and sacred loaves of bread on the table. This room was called the Holy Place." Under the Old Covenant there was a table which had a lampstand, and the ‘Loaves of His Presence’. Though it was called this, it was always eaten outside His Presence. The priest could not eat the bread in the Most Holy place, where no one could enter, except the High Priest once a year. You and I get to eat and drink at His table and in His Presence. God’s desire to have unbroken communion and enduring fellowship has found its complete fulfilment in the Lord’s Table. There is no more separation. Psalm 95:1-2 (CSB) [1] "Come, let's shout joyfully to the LORD, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! [2] Let's enter his presence with thanksgiving; let's shout triumphantly to him in song." Blessings, Steve

14.01.2022 Hello Faithlife Family! Welcome to Day Twenty-Six of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. 2 Samuel 9:8 (NLT)... [8] Mephibosheth bowed respectfully and exclaimed, "Who is your servant, that you should show such kindness to a dead dog like me?" Imagine the situation in which Mephibosheth finds himself in. He has nothing to offer David and feels all the privileges he is receiving is completely misplaced! It would be so much easier to just crawl back to his former existence than to eat with princes and have a personal rapport with the King. What is keeping you at a distance? Your seat at the Lord’s table has been reserved for you. Take your place and accept your privilege of being a Son & Daughter of the Most High. Blessings, Steve

13.01.2022 Hi Faithlife! Here is today's devotion for the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Exodus 15:22 (NLT)... [22] Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the desert of Shur. They travelled in this desert for three days without finding any water. Fresh from God’s great deliverance and utter defeat of the most powerful military might on the planet, the people of God had faith to face anything. Yet victories prove soon forgotten in the face of a new crisis. True to form, the Israelites murmured an activity that sounds exactly the way it is pronounced. Exodus 15:25 (NLT) [25] So Moses cried out to the LORD for help, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. It was there at Marah that the LORD set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him. The imagery here is powerful! The wood was thrown into the bitter water points to the healing power that is found in the Cross. It was at Marah (bitter) that the Lord revealed one of His redemptive compound names. This is whenever He joins His mighty name ‘Yahweh’ to one of His attributes. Here; Yahweh-Rapha (The Lord is Healer). God chose to reveal Himself as their Healer in a place of complaining and unbelief. Such is the Message of God’s Grace. He shows up in our weakness, our brokenness, our time of despair. He says: I AM here! Blessings, Steve

12.01.2022 Hello Everyone! Welcome to Day Eighteen of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Exodus 12:13... When I see the blood, I will pass over you. The blood of a sacrifice always establishes Covenant between God and His people. It guarantees protection, deliverance and salvation. God may at times remove us from calamity, yet often He does not. We may be surrounded by disease, yet protected. We may find ourselves in the middle of economic adversity, yet provided for. We may see others overcome by evil, yet being spared ourselves. Psalm 4:8 (NLT) [8] In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe. Blessings, Steve

08.01.2022 Hello Friends, Welcome to Day Twenty of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Exodus 12:36 (NLT)... [36] The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favourably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth! For 400 years the Israelites experienced oppression, slavery and bondage. The immediate result of celebrating the very first Passover was supernatural favour, to the point where their enemies became their sponsors! Psalm 16:6 (TPT) [6] Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I'm overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you, for you have given me the best! Blessings, Steve

07.01.2022 Hi Faithlife, Here is today's devotion for the 28 Day Communion Challenge. 1 Corinthians 11:20-21 (NLT)... [20] When you meet together, you are not really interested in the Lord's Supper. [21] For some of you hurry to eat your own meal without sharing with others. As a result, some go hungry while others get drunk. An early indication of the Lord’s Table was that it combined the celebration of the Cup and the Bread with the sharing of a ‘Family Feast’. Those who had abundance brought much, and those who were poor brought little. All the food was shared together, and there was enough for all. There is something greater at work here. The members of the church together formed the Body of Christ. Just as we share His Body and Blood at the Table, we are also members connected to one another. Blessings, Steve

07.01.2022 Hi Faithlife, Here is today's devotion for the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Exodus 12:3... One lamb for each household. We think of Salvation as a very personal matter, and it is. But the question that arises is; What about other members of the family? Is it true that some of our loved ones will be saved, but others not? Will some believe the Gospel, but others reject it? When the Feast of Passover was instituted, they were to have one lamb per family. The blood of that lamb was applied to the lintel and doorposts of the home. It resulted in the entire family saved from judgement. Just one person in the family will bring Salvation to the other members...though at first, it may bring ridicule and persecution. Proverbs 13:22 NLT [22] Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren. Blessings, Steve

06.01.2022 "Religion demands from us things that we cannot produce on our own. That's why Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit, so we are empowered to live like Him." James Cluff

06.01.2022 Hello Family! Here is today's devotion for the 28 Day Communion Challenge. Psalm 103:1-3 (TPT)... [1] With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! [2] Yahweh, you are my soul's celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you've done for me? [3] You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I've done. You've healed me inside and out from every disease. The heart of the psalmist (King David) overflows with praise and thanksgiving at the remembrance of the many miracles God has done for him. Verse 3 combines God’s complete redemption. Forgiveness and Healing. They are a package deal. We cannot earn either of them they are Gifts provided from our gracious Father. At the table, we have the Cup for the forgiveness of sins, ALL sin. And we have the Bread for the healing of diseases, ALL of them. Be encouraged to read the rest of this Psalm from the TPT after you eat and drink today. Blessings, Steve

01.01.2022 Hi Faithlife! Here is Day Fifteen of the 28 Day Communion Challenge. John 13:5 (NLT)... [5] Jesus poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. It was humiliating to Peter when Jesus knelt before him to wash his feet. Apparently not so for the Lord. During this time of communion let’s reflect on those who need their feet washed. Who is having a difficult walk? Who needs encouragement from an uphill climb, a tough trod? Let’s reach out today to the one whose feet He desires to wash. Blessings, Steve
