19.01.2022 Year 12 Mystery Tour | Stop 1 After our 12s received their plane tickets, they were dropped off for some fun! They enjoyed doing backflips at The Big Boing, sliding around at Bli Bli, slaming strikes at Ten Pin bowling and shooting lasers at Laserzone.

14.01.2022 CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL Today’s Cross Country Carnival was filled with spirit and good cheer from students and staff alike. It was a great feeling to come together as a community to finish off the term. Mr Kenny started the morning off with prayer and well wishes for a safe and relaxing holiday period. Keep an eye out over the holidays for this term’s Quarterly Magazine to find out who the carnival winners are.

13.01.2022 STUDENTS OF THE WEEK JUNIOR: Jett Gehrke Jett is a fantastic role model for other students. He always has a growth mindset and will ask questions to further his ability. He regularly demonstrates the values of the College, particularly Respect and Care. Jett builds positive relationships within and beyond his peer group through respectful interactions, which are underpinned by the Fruits of Faith. ... SENIOR: Liam Trevor Liam is an organised and high-achieving student, who demonstrates a consistent work ethic in class. He encourages those around him in a supportive manner. Liam's maturity is evident in the way he presents himself, always using his manners and providing considerate contributions.

13.01.2022 CERTIFICATE II HEALTH SUPPORT SERVICES Liz Waterhouse, a clinical nurse at Gatton Health Services, was a guest of the Cert II Health Support class yesterday. Li...z works at the Accident and Emergency Department, the Infusion Clinic, and also the hospital’s home program performing palliative care. Students enjoyed hearing about Liz’s nursing journey and gained an insight into her careers which contains a wealth of experience. The College has 18 students currently finishing their Certificate II Health Support Services, and these students will continue on to the Certificate III Health Support Services Assistant in 2021. The Health Support Services course is a combination of theory and practical activities. We currently have four hospital beds at the College, one was purchased and the others were donated by a metropolitan hospital. This certificate course is a good entry level qualification for anyone interested in a career in a health area.

08.01.2022 FAITH'S GOT TALENT Students have been working seriously hard over the last few months practising their singing, dancing, and acoustic routines, and today they finally got to showcase their God-given talents to the rest of the community. Congratulations go to Kierra Stirling and Brianna Mellor for taking out first spot with a well-executed dance routine. Second place went to the singing sensation Kalani Birch, and Clancy Keys came third with a wonderful Scottish dance routine.

All U/13 girls (As of 2021) are also encourage to purchase. Students will have the opportunity to wear during the Total Rugby classes and after school training. All payments will be made through the Sports Admin Officer. This can be completed at the Sports Centre Reception or by contacting the College. Payment opportunities will not be available until Monday the 11th of January. Please note pre-order dates will close on the 20th of December. 06.01.2022 STUDENTS OF THE WEEK Kyden Bethell: Kyden is a friendly and polite student who is always willing to lend a hand. He interacts positively with students of all ages and is welcoming and supportive. Kyden upholds the College values of care and respect, which he demonstrates both inside and outside of the classroom. Chantelle Greif: Chantelle is a thoughtful and energetic student. She often has kind words for teachers and other students, and she regularly exchanges common courtesies to those around her. She is full of energy and is loyal and supportive of her Redbacks Team. Chantelle takes pride in the College and its environment. She is respectful of property, and can often be seen picking up rubbish and taking time out to stop for a chat with the groundsmen and cleaning staff.

05.01.2022 TERM 3 CLOSING SERVICE Our Senior Spiritual Captains Gabi Newton and Travis Staines led this afternoon's closing service. It was Gabi and Travis's final service as our Spiritual Leaders and we leave you with some words from their devotion: GABI: I believe that God does have a plan for each and every one of us but we also have choices. The way I see it is that he has the master plan to our life, you know, like on a building site, the overall plan, the plan to follow. But some...times in life, we need to fill in some of the gaps or the possible blind spots. He gave us all a purpose and He also gave us the freedom of making our own choices... Some people choose to take risks and some of us don't. I can almost guarantee you the people who choose to take positive risks in life are going to go way further than the ones that stay in the same spot and fail to leave their comfort zone. Taking positive risks can make you grow as a person, learn from mistakes and become one of the best decision of your life. TRAVIS: This year I know has been mentally challenging, it just makes you realise the capabilities you have and how well you can pull through. This year I know for myself has been really draining so far, if I'm honest I really am still finding it hard to cope in some ways. This still doesn't stop us from taking positive risks. finding a way to cope is often a blessing in itself.

05.01.2022 Dear Faith Community This is a very special last week for our Senior students with Formal on Wednesday, and Valedictory on Friday. Students are looking forward to celebrating both events with their invited guests. The College aims to have the best possible celebrations for our students under these trying times. We understand, especially regarding formal, that members of the community like to gather and watch the arrivals, unfortunately, this will not be possible this year du...e to restrictions. We urge you to keep our senior students in your thoughts and prayers this week as they transition to the next stage of their life’s journey.
