16.01.2022 Here are a couple of the worst foods that affect your oral health. Sour Candy It’s not surprising that candy is bad for your mouth, but sour candy contains more and different kinds of acids that are tougher on your teeth. Bread When you chew bread, your saliva breaks down the starches into sugar, the bread then sticks to the crevices between teeth and that can cause cavities Fizzy drink/Soda Soda can dry out your mouth which causes you to lack saliva, saliva helps repair e...arly signs of tooth decay. Soda can cause more acid to attack enamel and dark sodas can stain your teeth. Dried Fruits You may assume that dried fruits are a healthy snack, which is true, but many dried fruits such as apricots, prunes, figs, and raisins are sticky, they get stuck and cling in the teeth and their crevices, leaving behind lots of sugar. If you do like to eat dried fruits, make sure you rinse your mouth with water, and then brush and floss after. It is a better choice to eat the fresh versions instead! See more
