17.01.2022 The federal government has just announced the $25,000 HomeBuilder grant. Eligible owner-occupiers will be able to access a grant of $25,000 to build a new home (up to $750,000). In addition to this, first home buyers in Queensland will still be able to access the existing $15,000 First Home Owners Grant giving them a $40,000 total package.... Information regarding how homeowners can apply for the grant is yet to be released however, it has been confirmed the Queensland Government will be administering the program. 12.01.2022 Consider your land layout - CUT & FILL When looking at buying land, layout needs to be taken into consideration. ... In order to make the land more level, a cut and fill can be done. This is where an amount of earth is ‘cut’ and used to ‘fill’ an area to create a flat surface to build on. This option can potentially lower the cost of construction labour. This upcoming home is situated in Toowoomba Citys Character area, meaning that certain criteria had to be met regarding the design of the home. 01.01.2022 Beautiful Autumn days with a fantastic view The boys have started digging stump holes out in Kulpi today. You can see in the last photo that there is some very rocky soil on the site. For this particular site, the presence of rock was determined by the soil test, and was taken into consideration during the planning phase of the home.... When looking at buying a block of land, it is always important to consider the soil type, as this will impact the cost of your foundations.
