20.01.2022 I'm a damn slow editor, there can be no doubt about that (I maintain I hold the record for slowest editing in all of Aus), however I always try and get a little sneak peek teaser out to my beautiful couples as soon as possible after their wedding. The teasers are also an opportunity to do things a little differently to the more traditional style of the final films, and this one from Olivia & Chris' incredible wedding around Sydney's North Shore this weekend past is no except...ion. It's also a great example of why I believe it's so important that the same person who films your wedding edits it, as so many emotive details can get left out just because they weren't technically perfect 'shots'. To me the imagery is one of the least important parts of a wedding film; it's peoples emotions, their smiles, laughs, tears and everything in between that are truly important. Anyway I hope you enjoy, and I can't wait to share the rest. Ps If you're wondering, the Spike Milligan poem is being read by Olivia's father during his speech at their reception. I watched as Olivia recounted every single word as he spoke it; it was one of her favourite poems, her father would read it to her as a child. And yes, I shed a little tear, it was a beautiful moment :)

19.01.2022 I mostly freelance film for other studios, I’m a bit too slow in the editing room to take on too many projects haha but sometimes after some freelancing you just have so much fun with the lovely people you have to have a quick play with the footage... congrats Renee and Iggy!

16.01.2022 Danii & Tom brought the rain with them on their wedding day, a lot of it! It didn't dampen their mood though and they were all smiles, all day. Also, probably the most hilarious speeches I've ever heard at a wedding - have never had to exercise so much self control to stop myself from breaking out in hysterics and keep the camera steady from uncontrollable laughter.... This was a challenging one for me as I managed to break my toe (snapped my pinky in two) the day before the wedding, just wanted to give a massive thanks to both of you for putting up with me hobbling around in a painkiller induced quasi-coma all day, much love :)

15.01.2022 If I had to pick one thing I love about Ben Heniuk & Katie Heniuk, I couldn't - but I do know I'd take a bus / cliff for them (give it a watch and it'll make sense) I've been upside down at festivals with them, was in Hawaii for their engagement, cut loose with camera in hand at their wedding, and can't wait for more good times in the future. Much love to both of you!

09.01.2022 Warning: this is just a sneak peek of so much more to come. Al and Shaya are friends of mine. I’ve known them for a long time. They are excellent people, and I like them very, very much. I travelled down to KVBR to say hi the night before their wedding; if you haven’t been to KVBR, it’s an incredible outdoor venue, and as any good outdoorsman would do I found a place under the stars at the venue to set up my swag before joining them in the morning. I woke at the crack of dawn... and was soon drawn to the sound of acoustic guitar drifting through the forest; I thought to myself, surely that’s no Al, strumming away to himself on the morning of his wedding. But sure enough it was. And my lawd can the man strum. You can’t make this stuff up - it was one of the most magical things I’ve come across, so I ran over and mic’d him up. The start of this video is said acoustic jam, accompanied by some cockies. And the rest Is Al and Shaya loving it up, as they do so well, and it’s the most magical thing of all See more
