21.01.2022 Did you know my ‘hobby’ business was started out of a carpeted bedroom in my house? I had a portable hairdressing sink with a hose that linked up to my bathtub AND I had to vacuum like a crazy woman in between all of my clients Even though I didn’t have the fanciest set up, a consistent clientele or the finances to create my dream salon fit out. I decided to start where I could, so I could get to where i wanted to be.... Best decision I ever made

19.01.2022 V I S U A L I S A T I O N: Fun Fact I am huge believer in the power of visualising your goals & dreams I opened my dream boutique studio in November 2019. ... However, 12 months before then, I knew I wanted to step out of my home salon & grow something bigger. Although I didn’t know WHEN, WHERE or HOW, I started visualising exactly what this boutique would LOOK & FEEL like. One year before I actually had the courage (& finances) to open my studio, I sat down & created a vision board on the @canva website. I knew I wanted a small, light & bright space with big windows & a pretty view. I knew my colour scheme was going to be tan & white, I picked out my salon chairs, round circle mirrors & I even knew I wanted white brick wallpaper. I also compiled a list of companies I wanted to work with for colour & retail stock. Not gunna lie, it took me almost eleven months to find the courage to put fear aside & finally do it...BUT the weekend I decided I was 100% going to open my own boutique salon, I accidentally found the perfect location while driving to costco to get groceries. 4 days later I signed my first commercial lease & 6 weeks later I officially opened my dream studio My advice Start visualising & planning where you want to be. Even if you don’t feel ready yet
13.01.2022 Hi, I’m Falon For those of you that don’t know me yet here’s a few fun facts about me: 3 years ago I started a home based salon - even though I only had two clients at the time.... I now have a beautiful little boutique salon @foiledbyfalon where I specialise in creating low maintenance hair colours. I currently work alone as a freelance hairdresser & have a 3 month + waitlist. I’m a mum of two crazy little munchkins that like to keep me on my toes. I believe that roast dinners can never have too much gravy. I’m on a mission to help other hairdressers build & grow their own successful freelance business’s. Much Love, Falon xxx
09.01.2022 I used to sit around waiting for the perfect opportunities to come my way. When they finally did, I’d overthink them and eventually do nothing because I’d let fear get the best of me. Fear of failing.... Fear of looking stupid. Fear of judgement. Fear of stress. Fear of hard work. Fear of change. Fear of success. My life changed drastically when I got over my own mental shit and actively started working towards the life I wanted to live. Nothing changes if nothing changes! See more

I had no idea what I was doing when I first started out marketing my business on Instagram in 2017 However, I’ve now built my entire business through instagram marketing & customer referrals.... Sharing virtual hugs to those who may need them right now In the past 7 days I’ve hired an apprentice, developed a new & exciting idea for @foiledbyfalon , started working on online workshop content, serviced hair salon clients, collaborated for a photoshoot & then been struck down and ruled ‘out of action’ with a nasty sinus infection ...
