22.01.2022 We're excited to announce that the results of our long-term digitisation project are becoming apparent. We have been busy listing and digitising the "State Rail... pre-1900 Personal History Cards" and right now you can do a Collection Search for surnames beginning with the letters A to F. That's over 31,900 new names that are discoverable in Collection Search! The first 5,900 images of the railway cards are also available - that is ALL RAILWAY EMPLOYEE SURNAMES BEGINNING WITH 'A' AND 'B'. Needless to say, this is a big job! There are 194 boxes of State Rail Cards, each containing around 500 employee cards, which equates to around 1,500-2,000 images per box (each individual generally has multiple cards and the front and back of each card are imaged). We'll keep you posted as more images and names become available! Start your search here > http://ow.ly/kNZH50wKiBx
