21.01.2022 This rings especially true this year where for so many people across the globe, Christmas will be done under locked down conditions or where it will take place with empty seats around tables. But regardless of the conditions, God's message of grace and redemption, his offering of love in the form of a swaddle wrapped baby remains the same. Emmanuel. The light shines upon us. God with us even when we stand alone.

Leaders of the twentieth century Aboriginal rights movement, and many Aboriginal organisations emerged from this place. Pastor Doug attracted a large congregation and galvanized the Aboriginal community in the fight for human rights. Together with his wife Gladys, he created a place of community and strength from which contemporary Aboriginal services and organisations evolved. (Written by Stephen J Barrington)
