23.01.2022 Well things are certainly hotting up in the family history department! Very excited to have a bit of research to conduct on the SMITH family of 'Zeehanville' in the Shire of Goomalling. Remember, we are only an email away... let us walk with you on your family history journey. Send us a message at [email protected].

23.01.2022 Please be advised that I am removing this page from Facebook.

21.01.2022 Funny how little things grow in to big things... and then become little more significant things.

21.01.2022 Looking forward to setting up a few "meet and greet" sessions to start up new family history research groups. We all feel alone when we are confronted with our own family journeys. Join up and share your own trials and tribulations with others. Keep an eye out for more details. :)

19.01.2022 Just to set the mojo... in my recent absence I have: 1. Been in contact with family on my maternal side; and 2. Learnt of and had contact with my half sister.

15.01.2022 Plans are underfoot to establish an Avon Valley family history group. The more the merrier I always say!! Please float this idea with family and friends!

14.01.2022 So now we are all stuck at home there is absolutely no reason we can't spend a bit more time doing family history. YAY!! There are some great online training opportunities being offered by Family History WA (formerly WAGS) for members and non-members. I have personally attended (over Google Meet) two sessions so far and can definitely attest to their fantasticness!! Check out what sessions are coming up at:https://membership.wags.org.au/membership-mainme/activities. You will not be disappointed! Jacqui

14.01.2022 Sent off today to have my Grandfather and Great Grandfather commemorated on the wall at ANZAC Park in Toodyay. Am also currently reading a book about the atrocities on the Burma Railway. We have sooooo much to be thankful for! Please 'remember them' in any way you can and be reminded that that RSL services are held for ANZAC, Remembrance and Vietnam Vet's days. Please attend, you don't have to do or say anything... be present and share your gratitude.

13.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

12.01.2022 I guess home is where the heart is... and mine is here in the Avon Valley. We have just started an Avon Valley Family History group. Knowing many of you as I do, there are definite family connections for you here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/535774323699835/?ref=bookmarksJoin our group and share, learn, grow. X

11.01.2022 Having been offering my services as a professional family historian for the last 5 years, I now understand why I was told by my colleagues not to enter into this business. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do and am still passionate about genealogy. Family Footprints will continue to operate but on my terms. Unfortunately, any inquiry now made to Family Footprints will incur a $50 fee before I even consider starting a search. Sorry folks, no more freebies. The well of helping others without thanks or feedback has run dry. There will be those of you who understand what I am saying and those of you who won't. If you have received information from me in the past that has helped you in your search, please post a testimonial to the service you received. Thankyou. FF

09.01.2022 Please accept this as my formal apology for not posting regularly... Life always gets in the way of the fun stuff!! But please keep posting and sharing the FF word... I am definitely monitoring posts and replying to individual requests for information. Keep sharing and keep posting... makes me smile every time and gives me the best excuse to ignore the humdrum... 09.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone who responded to the idea of establishing a local family history research group.Thankyou to everyone who responded to the idea of establishing a local family history research group.

03.01.2022 With the success of on-line family history learning and information sharing, Family Footprints has made the decision to offer 'remote' support, direction and assistance to those on their genealogy journey. Sounds too hard? It couldn't be more simple. Contact me if you are interested in discovering how it all works. And for those of you who used to meet as a group, the show and shenanigans can go on in real-time - just with everyone in different places. Think about it... I am ready and willing to give it a shot. Jacqui
