25.01.2022 Some photo's from our first-ever conference held September 8 2020. Thank you to JLea Creative Imagery and Photography. Thank you to Jennifer Ironside, NQ Domestic Violence Resource Service, Lives Lived Well, David Tobis, Anne Butcher, Rosamund Thorpe (FIN President), and our very brave parents who spoke about their personal journey with the child protection system. Thank you to the South Townsville Bowls Club for allowing our conference to be held there and Townsville Flexible Learning Centre for catering and serving lunch. Thank you to the volunteers at FIN (and those that were dragged in) for all the hard work done behind the scenes. Of course, a huge thank you to all that attended and supported us during QLD Child Protection Week.

I thank you for your understanding and compassion. Thank you to all that showed up today, in person and via Zoom. Thank you to all of our wonderful guest speakers as well, you were amazing. You are our community!

21.01.2022 It's ok to have a day off being mentally well.

21.01.2022 While Christmas is generally a joyous time, we are reminded that it can be hard for families separated from children. Our support will continue over the Christmas period. From all of us at FIN, we wish you the best day possible. Keeping you in our hearts this holiday season, and always!... Photo by Olya Kobruseva from Pexels

17.01.2022 Parents, grandparents, guardians and advocates! We need your thoughts on the parliament bringing in adoption to children in care. What does this mean? It means... that if your child, grandchild, niece, nephew or other relative is in the states care, they can be adopted to a family without parental consent. This is not a last resort option! Please read the information and the links below and send through your feedback. Parents need support, not have their children given away. https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//Guide_MakingASubmission https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//current-inqu/CPOLAB2020

14.01.2022 Doesn't make sense, does it.

10.01.2022 Interesting information on the complaints process. Admittedly, we could all see the failure in the process.

06.01.2022 Today we held our first ever conference. With guest speakers including our valued parents, colleagues from Australia and a special guest who Zoomed from California, lots of valuable information and resources were shared. Feedback has been great. We would like to thank each and every one of you that have supported us over the years, and particularly today.Today we held our first ever conference.
