22.01.2022 We recently prepared a submission on the NSW Disability Inclusion Plan (DIP) Consultation Paper. 14.01.2022 Without definition, inclusion is just a word In this brief blog post, Stuart Whitfield, from The International Leadership Academy emphasises that inclusion, without definition consensus, is a difficult term to apply. Often Governments pledge commitment to inclusive education but schools are left to interpret what it means in their settings and critically, what impact it has on young people and their learning journeys.... The Queensland Government showed political leadership by adopting an Inclusive Education Policy that clearly defines what inclusion is, and most importantly, what it is not. As we approach the end of 2020, it is time for the NSW Government to follow suit. Link: https://ie-today.co.uk/Blog/inclusion-is-more-than-a-word/ #SameClassroom Sarah Mitchell MLC
