23.01.2022 FamilyCare celebrates trans and gender diverse children and young people and supports the right for gender identity to be recognised, respected, and celebrated. We envision a world where every person, no matter their gender or the way they dress, feels safe and has the opportunity to grow and thrive in school, at home, at work, and in the community. A world where transphobia is called out, challenged, and becomes a thing of the past. Read our #TransgenderDayofVisibility statement here: https://www.cfecfw.asn.au/statement-of-support-internation/

18.01.2022 The 2020 Baskets Of Joy Christmas Appeal has gone virtual! Instead of the community donating food or Christmas items and volunteers gathering to pack the baskets for those in need, as has been done in the past, a ‘virtual shopping list’ has been established to allow you to make a donation towards a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. You choose what you would like to contribute, be it the cost of the Christmas ham, plum pudding or the Christmas bon bons and... everything in between. The value of your purchases will be the value of your donation, which will then be used to purchase Baskets of Joy grocery gift cards enabling families in need to purchase all the ingredients for their own special Christmas celebration. It is a safe way to donate, and a lot of fun! Find out how to get involved here www.greatershepparton.foundation or have a look at our website https://familycare.net.au/baskets-of-joy-for-the-city-of-g/ #basketsofjoyshepparton Greater Shepparton Foundation Greater Shepparton City Council See more

16.01.2022 Too Tough to Ask for Help? Yeah Right! Most blokes don’t know when to ask for help. It’s not so much asking for help but having the chance to talk things over with someone who won’t tell you what to do. In a new relationship or getting out of one? Having a hard time dealing with separation, parenting, care of the kids? Had a change in your health?... Job getting you down or just can’t seem to get it together? Come in and have a chat; no strings, no gossip, just straight talk. Call Child FIRST 1300 854 944 or email [email protected] See more

05.01.2022 We recently posted about the dangerous temperatures that the inside of a parked car can reach, but did you know that ‘hot prams’ are a danger too? Covering y...our pram to shield your little one from the sun might seem like the right thing to do, however even using material as light as muslin can reduce air circulation and cause the temperature to rise dramatically. This interview we did with TODAY earlier this year, shows how quickly things can change: https://9now.nine.com.au//coveri/ck5ye4zjy004u0hpgp3dc7ccj
