24.01.2022 For those who have matters in the Family Court or Federal Circuit Court: the courts are still open. Some cases are being heard by video or telephone. Some are being postponed. Some may be settled by sending documents to the court. More information can be found on the court websites: http://www.familycourt.gov.au//f/about/covid/covid-news-hp or http://www.federalcircuitcourt.gov.au//about/covid/covid-n

24.01.2022 For those in the midst of family law property proceedings: now that you're at home more and your property matter may have been adjourned, it might be the time to organise all that paperwork your lawyer has been asking for. You may not need all of the tips here, but the first two are particularly useful. Remember that now - and in the post-Covid era - people will more likely to accept/want electronic documents, so get ahead of the pack and go electronic (also good for the environment as a bonus!). https://makespace.com//organize-store-get-rid-of-paper-cl/

22.01.2022 Thinking of the family and friends of our fallen police officers and all those who constantly put themselves in danger for the protection of the rest of us. Thank you.

22.01.2022 This note and pretty little picture greeted me when I checked the mail tonight. Made my day, so I put it up on our Corona Wall of Fame.

20.01.2022 I was so chuffed with Flower Stealer's gift I thought I would try to give them something back. I stuck it to the letterbox, so hopefully they come back past soon. Stay tuned for the next episode in The Flower Stealer and The Victims.

20.01.2022 Nat Geo really hitting the 2020 nail on the head. What good are you looking forward to?

17.01.2022 My friend at Little Pandanus has written up a body scan meditation for kids. It is great, because you can read it yourself, so the kids get your voice instead of a random from YouTube. Or if the kids are sick of your voice, try getting a grandparent to record themselves reading it and you can play it to the kids whenever they need a calming influence! Highly recommend it either way. https://www.littlepandanus.com//04/body-scan-meditation.ht

14.01.2022 Well that is not going to relax me much! Wondered why my hot water was not changing color- turns out my tea bag is completely empty!

11.01.2022 Tomorrow is the last day of Reconciliation Week. Have you used this week to think about or discuss Reconciliation? What have you learnt - or taught others? I have taken some time to reflect on how I can promote reconciliation in my everyday life. I took myself on walks to admire again our three beautiful murals of respected elders. I have moseyed along the river bank, reflecting on the longevity and kindness of the Aboriginal culture. I went for another look at William Cooper's statue and read the plaque again carefully, mindfully. Thinking brings understanding. Understanding is another step towards the completely united Australia I hope we shall one day have.
