25.01.2022 After months of keeping most of my thoughts and writing to myself, ever aware of their limitations, I am pleased to be sharing my 3:00 am musings from Friday. O...ffered with love and recognition of NAIDOC week too. <3 Words Escape Me Words escape me! They come to me in the dead of night and slip past my fingers before I can capture them. I plead with God to visit me in some more respectable hour when sleep has had its fill. And yet, now approaches the witching hour when the world is still, and inspiration flows, uninterrupted by life's mundane demands. Words escape me to describe how I feel that life as we know it has been thrown to the winds; careers, livelihoods, dreams and lives hijacked. For what purpose do we live in fear of one another, of an invisible demon that threatens our former existence? For what purpose has it come to dominate and manipulate our freedoms and trust, and rob us of our futures? Silenced by fear, confusion, fury we are left scurrying to opposite corners, few prepared to admit that answers escape them too. When will this end? When will mothers and fathers be free once more to face their children and answer their prayers with confidence? "How did we get here?", is the question we need answer most, and yet that we already know. How many will it take to depart this world before we see what unites us beyond race and colour and status? Beyond our identity or religion or belief, beyond the divide of privilege and poverty, ability and disability? And all that makes us human? Perhaps that is in God's plan! Even as we are torn between wanting to know the truth and clutching to beliefs which soothe our fragile minds, will the last laugh be on us? Will God - or some divine influence - be patiently watching, waiting for us to wake up, to let go of the illusion that this world belongs to us and to surrender to the responsibility we have to it? When we can return to the Respect for Country and Life that all Indigenous peoples have lived by, then we will be free. Then we can be trusted with the gift of the life that breathes through every particle of this Earth and every living thing that inhabits it. When we can respect not only the seen but unseen forces that coexist, then once more, will we be entrusted with its stewardship. 24.01.2022 Reading Eckhart Tolle's 'The Power of Now' again, this passage resonated so clearly as the very thing that happens when we do a Constellation! It is our presence to what is so from the past that allows the feelings associated with it to be dissolved and the way to a different future made possible. Brilliant! Diane Viola These words were given to me in 2011 and I believe they describe the gift that we offer to others when we allow ourselves to fulfil our Soul Purpose here on Earth. 16.01.2022 In this video, which I recorded in October 2019, I share my passion for Family Constellations, how it contributes to the fulfilment of our potential and assists us to make the difference we are here for at this time. When we are able to free ourselves of whatever has held us back in particular the entanglements of our family system we can step more fully into life and be of service in ways that bring joy to ourselves and others. 14.01.2022 I think this is the ultimate challenge which, when surrendered to as an active, conscious choice, gives us personal freedom. This, along with strength and clarity are what I have always seen as the three greatest gifts of Systemic Family Constellations.

14.01.2022 A very powerful and informative revelation of what really happened in 1989 in Tiananmen Square and the truths that have been denied and covered up since. 13.01.2022 Maya Angelou, Writer & Civil Rights Activist said... 'The more you know of your history, the more liberated you are.' When I think of how this shows up in Family Constellations I see two things. Firstly, what we deal with is often hidden, unknown; the secrets, lies and exclusions which continue to cause havoc in our family systems until they are acknowledged and responded to. Secondly, it is often through a Constellation that some part of our history reveals itself for trans...formation. While we don't even have to know the actual details, it is the connection with the energy responsible for the disturbances, and the subsequent clearing of that, which offers relief and liberation from a past we may not even have known existed. 10.01.2022 Really looking forward to this Community Family Constellations Workshop In Stanthorpe, QLD and honoured that the Host, Shannon Cox, prepared this Event to be able to share it online. If you know of anyone in the vicinity of Stanthorpe who may be interested in joining the group, please share this with them. The group will be gathering in the Stanthorpe Little Theatre and I will be facilitating it via Zoom from my home. This is such an exciting thing to be able to take this wor...k to people wherever they are! :-) And what's great about doing a Constellation Workshop in a community group is that, if time allows, we can do a Constellation to address issues that are specific to their local community too. 10.01.2022 The father who never held his child. The marriage cut short; a couple separated by war. The mother who never buried her son. The doting parents whose child represents the last in the family line. The returned soldier whose memories remain unshaken by drugs or alcohol; shell-shocked, traumatised.... The child left longing for a father or mother they never knew. The anxiety of not knowing or waiting in vain for a loved one to return home. These are the tragedies of war! And it is this pain that we often see carried through the generations and manifesting as dis-ease, discomfort or self-sabotage that we can bring to a successful resolution in a Family Constellations Workshop. In a Constellation we have the chance to right wrongs, by bearing witness to the truth, seeing what was unseen, speaking what was left unsaid, holding what was never held and giving a place to those who have been cast out, displaced or left without a home. While a Constellation is not role play, psychodrama or past-life regression, it is as if we re-enact or revisit the past and provide what was missing for our ancestors, (or those in our current generation) making way for them to at last truly rest in peace. Among the most touching words from the Anzac Day Commemoration Services of 2015, the 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, were those of the representative from Turkey who said: After having lost their lives in our land, they are our sons as well. This speaks of how we are connected through fate; that when we experience significant loss or tragedy, it bonds us to one another. 06.01.2022 This is what vision and commitment make possible! I am so grateful for the experience I have gained in facilitating Family Constellations Workshops since 2012 and what I have learned from my colleagues over the past 11 years which gave me the confidence to give this a go. I don't think I would ever have come up with this idea myself had it not been for the can-do attitude and collaboration with Shan Cox to whom I am really grateful. It is something that is very close to my heart, having facilitated Constellations of this nature before and witnessed their power. 03.01.2022 This is at the core of Family Constellations and indeed ALL personal growth work that makes room for the felt experience to be had. For the individual who is 'unable' to feel, the problem is that it creeps up on us manifesting into something far more harmful to one's health over time than the feelings themselves. Then, as we see in Constellation work, if the feelings aren't felt by that person the energy of the e-motion rolls on down the family line. Thank you for sharing this Alana Arvanitis <3

02.01.2022 Father's Day may be over, but the challenges we sometimes face, particularly when dads are in one way or another 'separated' from their children, don't end there! On R U Ok? Day we must remember that for both fathers and mothers not having a place or being displaced can contribute to the feelings of grief, loss and the subsequent depression that may follow. As I have said, I believe that this is one of the most important articles I've written about fathers illustrating many of the concepts that become apparent through our understanding of the Orders of Love in Systemic Family Constellations & especially relevant now!
