23.01.2022 * PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON LEAD* Today is the dawn of a new era for me. Today, I will start walking my reactive dog Ally in a muzzle. It is now the only way that I can keep her, me & Soren safe. We are encountering friendly off lead dogs on on-lead trails, with owners who cannot call them back despite my warnings to them. Please do not ruin the last of our freedoms with our dogs by allowing your dog off lead on walking tracks. I work hard to keep Ally under threshold but I c...annot do this unless I can keep her a safe distance from approaching dogs. It saddens me to know that our training is being undone on an almost daily basis. That is best case scenario. Worst case is that a dog (or me) will be seriously injured. The muzzle will not protect her from the emotional & training consequences of a friendly dog who just wants to say hi. It will just prevent physical injury. Both can be totally avoided if you please just keep your dog on lead See more
