20.01.2022 Today was a sad farewell. I said goodbye to my beautiful and very talented 2IC. Claudia came to me 4 years ago as a quiet 17 year old starting out as a junior Medical Receptionist and moved into Assistant Practice Manager role over time with such intelligence and confidence that at times I completely would forget her age as she’s so switched on. Claudia is moving onto an exciting opportunity in recruitment and we all love her and will miss her but we are happy for her to enjoy this new adventure

20.01.2022 Please remember if you have travelled out of the Queensland in the last 14 days or have any covid like symptoms (sore throat/fever/cough/cold/muscle aches) CALL US on 41242466 before coming in. Thank you. Have a great day!

18.01.2022 Our reception staff are getting abused because our Practice did not sign up for the initial roll out for the Covid Vaccination. Our Practice decided not to participate because we did not want the added cost of vaccinating non FFMC patients as you are not allowed to only vaccinate your own patient base and for every vaccination we do there are about 6 pages of typing of a new patient form for every 'new patient' who leaves and never returns. Our car park is always full each da...y so new 'covid only patients' would block the car park for all our regular patients. We are not able to safely social distance all the 'covid only' patients and we would be burning out our very incredible clinical team in lead up to flu season all while making a financial loss and displacing current patients who desperately need those appointment spaces for GP appointments when our Practice is already stretched for capacity each day. Given the virus is largely under control especially in Hervey Bay we opted out for the initial phase. Please DO NOT abuse the reception staff for a decision that the clinical team and management made. There is info below on how to access Covid appointments at many other participating practices. Thank you for your understanding. See more

10.01.2022 Well Jen today is finally the day that after 6 incredible years we farewell you to move onto bigger and better things. We have laughed together and cried together and leaned on each other and supported each other and whilst I know we will continue to be a part of each other’s lives I am going to miss those moments where we get to duck into each other’s offices and have a laugh. Your work ethic and commitment and dedication to your patients has never ceased to amaze me (even a...fter all these years). I have seen you come to work sick and exhausted and you soldier on always. People don’t know how you have MANY times donated your time after hours to help those in need - your charitable endeavours and your commitment to your kids plus all those times you spent your weekends supporting friends (and sometimes strangers) by helping them move house/ given them a bed for the night/ giving them a shoulder to cry on or dropping them food is something you do from your heart and without wanting or expecting any accolades. I don’t think you ever called in sick once during all the times we have worked together. Your respect towards all the FFMC team has been so appreciated over the years as has your professional advice and assistance whenever Wayne and I have stumbled. We’ve lost an incredible work colleague today but remain firm friends. Wayne and I wish you EVERY success in your new role - we know you will shine and thrive as you have always done and we will be sitting on the sidelines supporting you each step of the way See more
