24.01.2022 What a wonderful message from a principal about his year 11 students and their thinking and how the teachers helped get them there on such an important topic! The climate strike and our students Statement from Newington at the end of the article....Continue reading

24.01.2022 Equity for rural and remote education and communities means this is a short sighted choice, all schools affected by drought should be supported not just non government ones.

18.01.2022 Teacher Resources do not come cheap, it is joking said it’s the only job you steal stationery from home and take to work. All those teachers out there, enjoy your back to school shopping as much as us parents do! FFC has been student shopping for 20 years and did the last one this year for secondary school

16.01.2022 Sometimes the absolute best teacher student relationship is forged through adversity and love for the lost child. FFC was very sick when daughter 3 was in year 1. And son started school. So certain teachers took them under their wing, today it came out that D3 loved MrsU because she gave rough gruff hugs and smelt like cigarettes (D3’s dad smokes) and MrsB took her to MacDonalds and to drive a tractor at her place when she graduated reading recovery- I know I signed the note to go in a car for reading recovery.... above and beyond teachers win hearts and minds of kids. Son loved them too! He even read somewhat in RR even though he planned to be an assassin ( it was the clock in the room that put him off) #autisticnoises #UCS #Loveyourteachers #parentalengagement #backtoachoolforthelasttimeforus #ffcdoespd

16.01.2022 Doesn’t this look like a great opportunity for 2020 learning! https://www.facebook.com/717509417/posts/10159391260824418/

12.01.2022 Something to help out if you are looking for things to do if you are home with your children..

10.01.2022 This is a problem when students mental health is at stake and when schools are doing so much of the heavy lifting for teens and their self esteem

07.01.2022 Teachers also need to remember not to judge parents for many of the same reasons and remember we are looking to work together in the best interests of the students- our kids

05.01.2022 Something to think about as the year draws to a close

05.01.2022 " , ' ..." Yep. These kids today. Tablets and laptops and sma...rtboards in every fucking classroom when we were lucky if the dot matrix printer was working on any given day. And air-conditioning? . When I was a kid we melted in summer and froze in winter and not one of us complained (hypo- & hyper- thermia kinda made functioning enough to complain pretty difficult). ... Heat stroke and screeching modems weren't good enough for our precious lil fuck trophies. We demanded they had the best in every classroom. Every device imaginable, fast as fuck internet speeds, actual comfort in the classroom. Coz our kids deserved the best education possible so they could have the best futures working in the best jobs with the most successful careers and massive paypackets. And dyu know what these ungrateful lil fuckers did? They took their technological nouse that we demanded they learn to adapt to a high tech classroom, and they took those devices and that high speed internet, and they took that education and !!! And the fucking little pricks started talking to each other across the world and reading articles and papers that offered a different perspective than they were receiving in the classroom, and they read about politics, history, society and science from different sources than the standard textbooks. And instead of getting that high paid job we wanted for them, sitting in an air conditioned office selling shit to people who can't afford it in order to eventually secure a retirement on a yacht, the kids got angry at the status quo and the injustices all around them; then they used all that tech and knowledge and the fucking little arseholes went further than just connecting. ! These self-centred, entitled, lazy little device-addicted wastrels actually got millions of people worldwide to hit the streets in protest against ongoing government inaction. And they called for better environmental policies, and better social policies, and a better future for everyone like the self-obsessed, greedy slackers they all are. So now all we can do is call them brats and hypocrites, for using the very knowledge and technology we demanded on pain of death that our lil preshes be given access to. ' , to consume and keep consuming and sell consumerism to everyone else to keep society churning along in the comforting dysfunction we've become so apathetically used to. , ?

01.01.2022 Do you know someone who could be the next GM of the Federation of NSW P&C? They deserve a fantastic GM to follow the last couple
