23.01.2022 Well, something exciting happened - I am officially an International Award-winning Photographer! It is a particularly special achievement for me as these images have been awarded in my home country at the NZIPP - the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography Iris Awards. With the Australian print awards on hold this year, it was such a privilege to be eligible to enter this prestigious competition. I am so very proud to be recognised by the incredible photographers ...in my homeland. I received my first ever award in a category outside of Newborn or Family, with my "Wine Over Time" image receiving a silver award in the Illustrative category, my Crosstitch image also a silver in Family category and my Angel Wings receiving a silver distinction in Family category.

15.01.2022 Today is Australian Citizenship Day, which makes a very fitting day to share this artwork I created for the 2019 AIPP Print Awards. It comprises of almost every single baby I photographed over an 18 month period of 2017-2019. There are over 30 nationalities represented in the image and the phrase, 'We are Australian" is echoed in all different languages behind the map. I created this image when I realised one day that we are raising the next generation of Australia, a wonder...ful melting pot of culture, inclusivity and love. Here are the leaders of tomorrow, the citizens who will grow this kind nation and build upon the foundations we are forming now. I can only hope that our foundations are strong enough to support the powerful things these children will achieve.
