25.01.2022 Women's Health Month is here! To celebrate women's health and hit the track running why not make some time for yourself ladies, and speak to your GP about a check-up and any concerns you have. Comprehensive bulk billed health assessments are also available to patients 45-49 years of age or over 75 years of age. These health assessments take a bit longer than a check-up (approx. 30minutes+) but are a great way for your GP to identify potential health issues or risks that may ...affect you down the track. 25.01.2022 Telehealth Consults Now Available. Don't attend the practice if you don't need to. We are offering Telehealth consults to eligible patients. This might apply to you if you are an existing patient and: > you have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having the COVID-19 virus. > you are over 70 years of age... > you identify as ATSI over 50 years of age > you are pregnant > you are the parent of a child under 1 year of age > you have a chronic illness (such as Asthma, Diabetes, Heart or Lung Disease, Liver or Kidney Disease). 25.01.2022 If you are over 65 years of age remember to book your FREE flu shot before the flu has the chance to get you this winter. These flu shots are quadrivalent (4 strain) vaccines, which offer protection against 2 different strains of influenza A and 2 different strains of influenza B. 24.01.2022 Only 1 week until our Osteoporosis clinic begins! Last year approx. 74% of participants were diagnosed with low or very low bone density, risking significant injury from minor falls. . This is not just a condition for the aged. Osteoporosis can begin as Osteopenia (reversible low bone density) through your 40s, 50s or 60s. 18.01.2022 Government Funded Flu Shots are now AVAILABLE! If you have been waiting for these to come in, then wait no longer. They only just arrived this afternoon so give us a call to make your appointment before we book up completely. You will not be able to book online. These Flu Shots are FREE to eligible patients, including over 65 year olds, pregnant women, ATSI people over 15 years of age, and many patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, severe asthma and heart or lung ...disease. 17.01.2022 Later this month our Bone Density Scan Clinic - used to diagnose Osteoporosis and Osteopenia - is returning. These scans are FREE for over 70 year olds and other at risk persons. You will need a referral from one of our GP's before the clinic begins if you wish to participate. Hurry because pla...ces are limited. Last year approximately 74% of our scan clinic participants were diagnosed with either osteoporosis or osteopenia. They are now able to actively manage their conditions and work on improving their bone density before they experience a bone related injury. What is your bone health like?

17.01.2022 Fantastic News! Our early bird flu shots are now available. These are private flu shots, priced at $15 each, and they are suitable for under 18 year olds. You can book your vaccine by calling us on 4783 3888. Please do not book these online as we may not be able to provide you with the service you require at the time of the appointment. The Government funded flu shots are not available yet. Until they arrive we will be unable to offer the bulk billed flu shots for eligible patients. We have been informed of a delay on these and expect them to arrive in April. We will keep you posted on their availability.

We are currently trying to resolve the issue but it may take us a little while. 14.01.2022 >>Flu Shots [ UPDATE ] - Trivalent (3 strain) flu shots are now available FREE of charge to patients with a valid Medicare Card. - Quadrivalent (4 strain) flu shots were delayed by the Government due to a change in the formula. These will be available very soon. We will keep you up to date as we know more.... Want to know the difference between Tri and Quad Flu Shots? The Trivalent vaccine has 3 included strains of the flu (2 different strains of influenza A and 1 strain of influenza B). The Quadrivalent has 4 included strains (2 different types of influenza A, and 2 different types of influenza B), offering you greater protection. In past years the Government has funded Trivalent flu shots for eligible patients (over 65yo, pregnant women, ATSI and many patients with chronic illnesses), so the Tri shots were often considered the standard vaccine. They also tend to have a lower fee for non-eligible patients. Our 2015 flu vaccines were trivalent. For the first time, the Government is now funding the Quadrivalent flu shots for eligible patients in 2016. When stock of the vaccine arrives these will be free to eligible patients. If you are not eligible for the Government funded flu shots, don't worry, we have you covered as well. You have the choice between Trivalent (which we are offering for free) or Quadrivalent (which will cost a small fee). You can access the Trivalent Flu Shots today if you wish. Or keep watching our page to find out when you can book your Quadrivalent flu shot.

Fortunately our team isn't shrinking though. From next week we will be joined by Dr Tarika, a female doctor with special interests in women's health.
