23.01.2022 GETTING READY FOR UPDATE 23.2 After having to hit the pause button a couple of times, it looks like all systems (and weather) are "go" for releasing FTM 2017 ve...rsion 23.2 later today. To get ready, you should just compact your trees and make full manual backups (with media). Here's a link if you need instructions: https://support.mackiev.com/345927-HOW-TO-COMPACT-AND-BACK- . ABOUT THE 23.2 UPDATE The update is FREE and will be available for download from our update center as usual. The update contains important changes in FTM 2017 that were needed due to modifications made by Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org on their sites. . WHO SHOULD UPDATE While the 23.2 update is not strictly required, it is recommended for all FTM 2017 users, and strongly recommended for those who: - Upload, download or sync with Ancestry trees - Use Ancestry Web Search - Use FamilySearch features - Are having any issues with FTM 2017 - Are planning to upgrade to Mojave (Mac users) . HOW USERS WILL GET LINKS All FTM 2017 registered users will get links in an email newsletter going out later today. It will take several hours to get all the mails out, so please be patient and please, please, DO NOT post here asking others if they have received their mails. I'll post again when all the mails have gone out, and if yours didn't arrive, you can head over to Live Chat to make sure they have the right email for you. . NOTE: The links in the newsletters are different for different locations around the world, so please do not post those links here. If you do, we're gonna delete them. :-)

22.01.2022 For those who nse the the Plug-in Family Book Creator. Upgrade to version 434 is now available for download.

13.01.2022 FTM 2017 UPDATE - July 8th . LAUNCH ON TRACK - COUNTDOWN STARTED . There's a festive atmosphere in the development labs this weekend as we prepare to come down ...the home stretch. We don't want to jinx it by saying so but right now we're feeling pretty good about the latest builds and cautiously optimistic about sticking to the schedule we set out two weeks ago. It's been a long and difficult road, but with a whole lot of help from our friends, it looks like showtime at last. Here's a recap. . BETA TESTERS LAST CALL We put out a last call for "showstopper" bugs this past week to our very able beta test army, and the deadline to send them in to us has now passed. The few dozen we received were far less than we had expected from our 2,600 beta testers. So that's a good sign, and maybe just maybe there will be celebrating in Family Tree Maker valley by this time next weekend. We should know by the middle of the week. . ARE YOU DRIVING YET? A whole bunch of you are. And it appears that most are having a great ride ... 99.27% to be exact. That's the percent who've just kept on using FTM 2017 after taking it for a two day spin in Test Drive 2.0. We've now offered a test drive to everyone eligible to take one regardless of tree size. The vast majority have told us the same thing -- they think it’s ready to release. And with the adjustments we’ve made recently, we think so too. . LAST DAYS FOR PRE-ORDER PRICES All good things have to come to an end sometime they say. And that includes the pre-order sale for FTM 2017 which will finally come to an end in just a few days. Until then, you can get a download for $29.95 before the prices go up. Just stop by www.familytreemaker.com and get on the mailing list. You'll get a welcome email right away with a link to an upgrade offer. And tell your friends. They'll thank you for it. . GETTING THE WRONG MESSAGE? As our engineers and Ancestry's make some final tuneups in the sync system, some test drivers are seeing some surprising messages. Don't let them scare you. Like if you see "Your tree has been deleted" -- it's not true (go ahead and check). And just ignore "FTM is offline" -- you're not disconnected. Those won't misfire in the final release, but in the meantime, head to Live Chat if a message worries you. We’re there for you 24/7. . THE ROLLOUT GAMEPLAN We’re making what we hope will be the final build this weekend and plan to start beta testing it on Tuesday. If all goes well, we’ll declare it our first official release of FTM 2017. The first to receive their copies will be our many Test Drivers -- on Saturday, July 15th. Followed closely by everyone who has pre-ordered, with the rest of the world not far behind. We'll go as fast as the new system will safely allow. Stay tuned. . STAYING UP TO DATE Thanks for hanging in there. The best is yet to come. We will continue to post here until the new edition is fully released to everyone who has ordered it. And we'll also post the same updates on our support site: . https://support.mackiev.com/498640-RELEASE-OF-FTM-2017 . . QUESTIONS? Here’s where to go to get answers: . READ ABOUT TEST DRIVE 2.0 1. Go to support.familytreemaker.com 2. Enter Drive 2.0 in the search field . LEARN MORE ABOUT FTM 2017 1. Go to support.familytreemaker.com 2. Enter 2017 FAQ in the search field . SEE WHAT’S NEW IN FTM 2017 1. Go to support.familytreemaker.com 2. Enter 2017 feature in the search field . . HOW DO I DO THAT? Where to go if you are looking to ... . START A LIVE CHAT 1. Go to support.familytreemaker.com 2. Enter live chat in the search field . SIGN UP FOR THE MAILING LIST 1. Go to www.familytreemaker.com 2. Click the Mailing List link . PRE-ORDER FTM 2017 1. Sign up for the FTM Mailing List (see above) 2. Follow the link in the welcome email .

01.01.2022 NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS In light of the ever-increasing Coronavirus cases in South Australia, it has been decided in order to protect our vulnerable audience members, this month’s scheduled Talk Day is cancelled. At the same time, we are also suspending all future Talk Days and User Groups until further notice.... Members will be advised when Talk Days and User Groups will resume again. Research Thursdays will continue as usual for the time being, so people who require one on one help can book in as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience, and hope that members will understand our reasons for this decision. Peter Applebee, President ANDFHG.
