20.01.2022 Cindy & Stuart with their adorable angels tied the knot last Monday in a very intimate ceremony under an old stunningly beautiful fig tree and there was something very magical about this family and the setting leaving us all with goose bumps and tingles. . Thankfully the hour before the ceremony didn’t ruin their plans too greatly, when their son changed the safe lock, where their rings were kept leaving the Groom to use a welder to break open the safe (which now is no good... to use). He rescued the rings & all was well again. We had a laugh about it before the ceremony and this story just adds to their wedding day adventure. My favourite things about Christmas: Seeing the beauty in my daughter’s excitement and love for all things Christmas & watching her face lig...ht up after Santa’s been on Christmas morning. The time spent with my cherished family & good friends Eating or more like indulging in yummy food (especially my sisters rum balls & potato bake) Chilling out in the pool with a cold glass of champagne or margarita Giving presents and seeing the receiver light up Being grateful for what I have Cooking with my family putting up the Christmas Visiting the Christmas lights around the local neighbourhood Playing games with the kids and coming up with lots of naughty elf ideas . Still dreaming: I’m still dreaming of proper egg nog on Christmas Eve in a cold environment. I’m still dreaming of a white Christmas I’m still dreamingof winning a prize home drawn on Christmas Eve . 14.01.2022 WARNING- this story contains explicit visions . CAMPING for my birthday at Inskip (north of Rainbow Beach) this week started off with magical sunsets over the water due to the Bush fires burning on Fraser Island. The Sun was so red this shot was taken with #nofilters added. Absolutely magical. . However on my birthday evening (Tuesday) things turned brutal when I awoke around 10.30pm with severe gastro, only to realise it was food poisoning from chicken sausages we ate for d...inner. . It wasn’t pleasant camping with everyone set up only 15-20m away and hearing every sound that my body was making . My poor daughter started projectile vomiting around 1.30am and despite the darkness, I swear she was aiming for me, all the bed sheets, the mattress and the new camper trailer canvas she sprayed. My hands could not reach the bucket fast enough. So after a day of healing our bodies yesterday and arriving home earlier than we had expected, I can now reflect on this time and put it down to 1 thing. . Never will I take chicken sausages camping ever again. . But dam, those sunsets were magical . I’m back in the office now, smiling, feeling good and 1 year wiser. X See more

13.01.2022 THAT’S A WRAP . 2020 - a year of unprecedented times & opportunities... . For me, 2020 was a year I grabbed life by the horns despite having no control of the ...bull! This is 40! . MY 2020 : JANUARY ~ I started off the year on a high and hosted a fabulous Swiss/Russian student at my home and become her host mumma for a month as she studied English at the renown Noosa Lexis School FEBRUARY ~ I fell in love with a beautiful spiritual yogi who is a divine being and was blessed to share 5 wonderful months with him. I also met a fabulous human during a parenting course I took, and she has now become one of my best mates. MARCH ~ I traveled to Bali with my sister and shared the most fabulous, insightful & spiritually moving holiday with her. My first ever holiday spent alone with my sister as an adult. We got back just in the nick of time before lockdown. APRIL ~ I was shut down over night with weddings and ceremonies. No income, no back up, a single parent with a mortgage. Very quickly I was reaching up to 90 weddings either postponed or cancelled for the year. This month I created a plan that would safe guard me, moving forward. April was also the month I reconnected with alcohol and red wine was my Vibe. It helped ease the stress & tension caused by the big C. I also began the home schooling journey for my 9 yr old daughter and realised the many flaws in our Qld Education system & where my child was really at with her schooling level. I gathered my findings to report the schooling solutions moving forward. This was a break through & blessing in disguise. MAY ~ I co-created an architectural plan to design an epic off the grid TINY HOUSE on wheels that would be housed in my back yard & provide the necessary income I needed as my plan b JUNE - fine tuned my tiny house plans & found a brilliant builder & signed a contract JULY - the build began for my tiny house and my weddings started to pick up, mainly elopements.... smiles all around. AUGUST ~ the tiny house was completed, the slab was ready and preparation had taken place for @atinycrush A tenant was chosen who became the perfect custodian. SEPTEMBER ~ tenant moved into tiny house. Restrictions started to lift again for weddings in Qld and the light was bright at the end of the tunnel. OCTOBER ~ I broke the 5th metatarsal in my left foot and ended up in a moon boot for 6 weeks during my busiest month of weddings for the entire year. NOVEMBER ~ got out of the moon boot. Sold my boat and brought a camper trailer. Got severe gastro whilst camping at Inskip during my 41st bday. DECEMBER ~ had a wonderful end the the year. Joined a gym. Had a fabulous orphans xmas at my house and kicked some Reno goals in my home. Spent quality time with my daughter & family over the holidays. Feeling great as I enter the new year - afresh! . 08.01.2022 10 FUN FACTS about Natalie Skye ~ your Sunny Celebrant & Creator of Fancy & Free Weddings: 1). 4yrs ago I changed my name via my birth certificate, making my middle name ‘Skye’ my legal surname. It empowered me beyond words. 2). I love growing old. It’s the wisdom that comes with experience & age that makes it so cool ~ the wrinkles are proof! 3). I’m a nature nut who was raised in country/coastal Mackay. I’ve always had a dream of being a horse owner & daily rider. ... 4). I have a daughter Velvet Skye who is currently 7. She is a happy, determined & spunky kid who is the light & joy of my life. Nothing matches the bond & love that we share. 5). I have been married once and I’m now on what many call ‘round 2’ of the love game. I share my life, home and heart with my big protector & beautiful bear of a man Blair. 6). I’m a doer, not a gunna I rarely talk about it, unless I’ve done it or achieved it. I like to make decisions and stick to them. I’ve known to be impulsive, decisive with a natural instinct for usually making good life choices, & the ‘other’ choices I’ve made, have been my biggest learning curves of life a blessing in disguise. 7). Pre-Celebrant I worked as a registered nurse, financial planner & bank manager. I’ve always had a side hustle throughout my life, since I was 5. Currently it’s my passion for wedding packages & elopements through Fancy & Free Weddings (check it out) . I’m into people & places; an intrepid traveller that takes the path less travelled & I’ve explored almost 80 incredible countries with a long bucket list to go! 9). My Mother and Grandmother aka Barka (which is Croatian for Grandmother, and no, we aren’t Croatian, just eccentric) are my biggest mentors. Without their love, guidance, strength, support and nurturing comfort, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. 10). Gratitude & mindfulness (+yoga) is the key to my balanced happiness. 07.01.2022 Just a small, intimate elopement on the beach where Daniel proposed to Amelia was exactly what the couple dreamt of. Accompanied by only their parents as guests. The Fathers were honoured to share a speech during the ceremony, breaking the tradition with a reception speech. It was very romantic, heart felt and the couple felt so comfortable and at ease. 04.01.2022 I was seriously charmed by the sheer bliss, awe, true love & deep connection Steph & Kat shared on their wedding day. It was so captivating & some what enchanting it almost made me rethink my team . Their love is so pure, real, and sincere and I can honestly say, destiny had these two paired up right from the beginning. To me, their love was a reflection of when two souls find their TRUE NORTH !
