22.01.2022 This friendly, family orientated boozer just isn't any old boozer. It is part of Bridgetown's history, offering a splendid array of boutique ciders and craft beers. We highly recommend nipping down there for a pint or two. Meanwhile read their awesome story out now in The Bridgetown 5.

20.01.2022 Self confessed owner of too many Pinterest boards, Jenny Mountford, is an ideas lady. After relocating to Bridgetown, she revamped a second-hand shop and lurking beneath she found a cavernous area filled with ramshackle furniture. The art space came to me like a thunderbolt, says Jenny, and so The Rabbit Hole was born. Two years on the dynamic space is home to 12 resident artists, showcases a different local artist in The Foyer Gallery each month and provides numerous others with a workshop venue. If you haven't managed to get hold of one of our papers yet, read on here...

20.01.2022 Talk of ‘lofts’ and ‘attics’ immediately bring to mind romantic notions of antiques, long lost, just waiting to be unearthed by curious young explorers who have scrambled up old rickety stairs on a rainy day to fossick through the hidey holes of previous generations.

14.01.2022 The photograph of John & Pat from The Cidery has won the best in show at the Faces & Places exhibition, photography section. It is a great honour, but also lovely to have the opportunity to submit such an appropriate image. The Cidery is part of the history of Bridgetown, beginning in the 80s, and still going strong, thanks to John & Pat’s firm friendship. 03.01.2022 The cover shot for The Bridgetown 5 was taken at Bridgetown Gardens Function Centre, when the magnificent wisteria walk was in full bloom. It really is one of Bridgetown’s gems, and was chosen as it represents a town rich in fauna and flora. For us at Fantail, the image presents a certain amount of nostalgia. And we hope our readers feel this connection too. Bridgetown Gardens Function Centre is for hire to individuals or organisations requiring a spacious venue with a pleasa...nt garden and outlook, suitable for weddings, conferences, seminars, parties, funerals and wakes to name a few. The wisteria walk (pictured here) is a very popular attraction for garden parties and for weddings, particularly in Oct-Nov when in full bloom. It is spectacular! (Early booking is recommended) Facilities available include commercial kitchen, dish and glass washers, cool room, bar, crockery and cutlery (for 50-60) folding trestle tables, banquet chairs and outdoor bistro furniture plus two warming woodfires for winter. Please contact Bridgetown Function Centre Liaison Officer Robert Stringer for more info. Oh. 97611911 Mob 0400200287.
