24.01.2022 An oldie but a goodie. Not every day works out the way you want it to, but you can stop and start over again. You have the power to choose. I am a week after surgery, that week has brought severe reactions to medications, more pain than I thought humanly possible to handle. Incorrect dressing being applied to the wound before sending me home. This dressing went concrete hard and has made it virtually impossible to bend the knee and as you can imagine has been detrimental to... both physical and mental health. I have been focusing so much of my life on "after I have this surgery I will be able to do ........ or do........ . 20.01.2022 Super quick update After having an allergic reaction to medication I've spent Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday flat on my back. I started physio today and already have an 80 bend happening. Need to have a minimum of 90 before I can go home and be able to handle stairs with a walking stick. So hopefully home by Sunday. The staff at RPA is absolutely amazing

19.01.2022 We're slowly getting there. My "creative stuff " had taken over two bedrooms and some of the lounge room lol, so now I have the job of moving it all and getting it set up hopefully before I go into surgery next week. 19.01.2022 2020 has been a ridiculously difficult year. Our mental health has been pushed to the brink, our small businesses have suffered to the point where many have had to close their doors. I know that when midnight strikes things are not going to go back to the way they were before Covid, it would be magical if it did but I hope for all of you that the new year brings with it the love, peace and understanding that we all need. 17.01.2022 Don't give your past the power to define your future. I know times are tough for all of us now and we are all struggling with some sort of internal issues. Please be kind to yourself, give yourself time to rest and recover. Know that you are not alone, self care is of the utmost importance. My mind monkeys have been hyperactive lately. Contending with pain from surgery and the inability to be independently mobile has really had my anxiety and depression in over drive. I hav...e three major projects on the back burner at the moment and I haven't been able to centre myself long enough to make headway with any of them. My new studio has come to a screaming holt because I can't be there to actively work on finishing the work, the second project has stopped because I have been hesitant to move forward for fear of "stepping on toes" and the third because I'm not sure whether to unveil before the presentation of an upcoming grand final prize. 15.01.2022 I put my beautiful Cleopatra chair outside, I am so happy with it. The legs are beautifully carved with a Lincoln rose pattern. I put the paint samples on it and found that one of them brought out the gold stripes and sat really well with the mottled patterning of the fabric as well. I think we have a winner for the wall colour.
