08.01.2022 Fantech's patented AirLay range of rectangular attenuators achieves superior duct-borne noise reductions in commercial HVAC applications. Its unique construction and revolutionary polyester acoustic infill provide greater insertion losses across the most critical frequencies when compared to conventional infill materials. This high performance infill features a hardened outer membrane which reduces the potential for insulation fibres to enter the air stream. 03.01.2022 This Eco friendly dwelling sits atop a garage in a quiet lane way on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The home is certified as Passive House Plus and features the high efficiency Zehnder CA200 heat recovery ventilation system with counter-flow heat exchanger. The system can recover up to 90% of the heat while providing fresh air 24/7. The expressive facades are finished in sustainably sourced timbers that frame the elegant tilt turn windows that admit just the right amount of ...sun. Rooftop solar panels are installed, generating about twice the electricity than the home will consume each year. The timber/aluminium windows and door are double-glazed, helping to create a well-insulated, airtight building envelope. This small footprint home demonstrates the viability for passive house projects regardless of size. The owners have now moved from the main house into the granny flat themselves.
