25.01.2022 Nicko dropped his cammed Vy LS1 off for us to unlock the ecu and give it a tune.This came in making 376rwhp and 464rwnm and had bad driving manner bunny hoping anything under 2krpm idle issues and running 16.0 afrs to redline. After our tuning it left making 427rwhp / 525rwnm with no more drive manner issues More torque and power with safe afrs and timing to boot.
25.01.2022 This is the first time the charger has been on the hub Dyno since 2014.The pro hub 4000 was unheard of back then so was 2840rwhp on 38psi out of a street engine not a drag engine! If only i had a dollar for how many doubted this big block made that power 6 years ago and effortlessly on 38psi didnt finish the run because it maxxed the retarders out This Big block being the pioneer of the pro hub Dyno..no one knew what the retarders were going to do when hit with this power. ...Tod from mainline flew back over to Perth and sorted the retarders so a max hit on 38 and more could be done but i never got around to it. Fast forward to now Its been 6 years curiosity gets me.This car has raced in Perth with max boost of 27psi and run 7.2@201mph which is a soft 2500rwhp it also makes 1980rwhp on 20psi. What will its first pull on 40psi be from just turning up the ams 1000 and using the same 7 year old road tune in it i made on kansas city I70 high way back in 2013 when i was forced to switch both sets of injectors a day before drag week. This run will be no dyno tuning to optimise for peak power at 40psi just add co2 on the gates.Note This big block wet sump engine combo is 12 years old. It has 7 Hot rod drag weeks on it. It can and has driven thousands of kms in a week on pump gas on 24psi boost runs low 7s@195mph tuned for aus air rich as all week during Hot Rod drag week usa. This will be a 40psi run not chasing max power yet. Max Power will take a bit of tinkering with the ignition as it runs an old dated distributor and msd ignition.On methanol They get touchy over 40psi its like trying to light a match in a blizzard.. Id say its going to try blow spark but i have a few ways of band aiding that..until i put a new Cop ignition system on it. All the power and reliability this engine has is Born and bred here. 21.01.2022 Something different An old Big Tank E38 charger getting a birthday. Autronic smc will manage fuel and spark and make it pump 98 or E85 friendly at the flick of a switch.This 265 has been running a fluid Dampner, std crank, forged pistons oring in block , receiver groove in head, copper head gasket , bushed lifter bores,solid roller cam , extra head bolts external oil pump, grout filled block these mods we did 25 years ago and have proven it to be reliable at good power levels for an n/a six.
21.01.2022 Chamberlain Performance dropped off this BA for us to tune after they fitted a set of 968 injectors a walbro 480 fuel pump a 11 lb actuator and fabricated the charge pipes to plum up to the larger intercooler.This car runs a stock exhaust. 13psi made 383rwhp / 625rwnm. A before and after could not be done on this car because the previous tuner attempted to tune it with the waist gate flapper valve half open causing heaps of Turbo Lag he maxxed the waiste gate DC table to try make any boost.

19.01.2022 Clauds WB 416 CI ls3 is a prime example of how many shops out there can buy a dyno and buy a Lap top, even buy there Tunes. But they will fail to get it right . Because you cant buy real Knowledge and understanding. The owner Claud complaining about having to throw a set of spark plugs in it every day to start it. He was told by his previous tuning shop thats normal thats when he realised there wasnt only something wrong with his tune. The problem was the previous tuner ...has no understanding unless hes fitting a crate motor fitting a cam he has no idea what the numbers all mean or hes copy and pasting a tune.There is bit more involved with a carby then that so it expired his wealth of knowledge quickly....This carbied LS took the cover off the smoke and mirror show. although very basic stuff we will explain it a bit .This 850 cfm Carbie has 3 circuits he screwed the idle speed screws in too much an attempt to try make it idle on 9.0 afrs... Opening the butter flys up past the idle circuit and had it idling on the intermediate /main circuit as well as the power valve opening too early...No wonder the sump had more raw unburnt fuel in it then it had oil. In short He attempted to lean the idle out by removing the 86 main jets the carb had and proceeded to fit 70s all round..giving it a destructive 15.5 to 1 afr on wide open throttle. Hes also one of the biggest face book shit slingers yet has no f1kn clue. Only his gullable audience eat the crap he feeds them. The Result is this 416 ls3 came here we changed the oil to try keep the main bearings in the thing for the dyno tune we ran it up as we received it it made 480rwhp@6175rpm and1891nm @5038rpm with his old cam/tune. We Supplied our number 4 hydraulic roller cam then tuned it properly The result was 542rwhp@ 6175rpm and 2206nm@4631rpm both on BP 98 through the same power glide , stall and 3.25 nine inch diff. Massive gains. We then suggested Claud Run methanol so we supplied him a and Fuel system and carbie and tuned the ute for methanol. It made 580rwhp@6500rpm and 2400nm@4550rpm. Result proves again Experience always counts. See more
19.01.2022 Richie brought his Maloo making 436rwhp/707rwnm complaining about his stalled 6l80 e neutralizing when shifting into 3rd gear .He told us had a mafless tune and trans rebuild done and still had no 3rd gear so he stopped driving the car. He was referred to us by one of his mates whom we tuned his blown ls3 powered 6 ton Canta truck with a 6l80e trans. After some diagnosing we replaced the Mega tron re linked it to the os. Unlocked the ecu and gave it a mafless tune and Tcm tune. The Result after being tuned here is 455rwhp/730rwnm and a 6L80 E that has a shift pattern that matches the engines torque characteristics and has 3rd gear. Working this out saved him another expensive 6l80e trans re build.
18.01.2022 Craig Dropped his VY off for us to unlock the ECU and give his cammed 5.7 a tune to try help lack of power bad drivability manner idle sticking at 1500rpm problem and needing a petrol bowser at home to keep up with the daily fuel consumption. He Told us he has a vcm, 7 that said we knew the performance was going to be limited to the short comings of the previous shop spinning the chocolate wheel crossing there fingers and choosing that cam. Heres a hint 232@ 50in [email protected] means nothing as to how this cam effects TORQUE and Power and fuel economy .The Vy Came in with 334rwhp 497rwnm and poor fuel economy 150km per tank and not much Torque . After our tune makes 350rwhp 521rwn/m and gets 350km per tank. Still a far cry off of what we get out of our Cam only LS1s 1 of ours simmilar size cams will make 420rwhp all day and be heads and shoulders above the vcm 7 Torque/Power and economy wise. For Now The owner is very happy with the improvements we gave him from the right Tuning. After seeing what he can get here with the right Cam He will be re camming this in the near future to justify it being a cammed LS1. See more
18.01.2022 Shans VZ runs an L76 we deleted the AFM fitted 1 of our mild custom cams and ported the heads then mafless tuned it.This vz is running a manual trans and 3.46 diff gears it has std drive manner and great throttle response even with the tall diff gears.
18.01.2022 L98 VZ Maloo - Running on BP Ultimate 98 this 6ltr with std Heads has a Faraone Engines Cam package and water meth kit ,Magnuson blower , 1 3/4 headers a twin 3 inch x force exhaust. Finshed off with a Mafless tune also done here makes 746rwhp/ 901rwnm on 12psi boost.
17.01.2022 BA Xr6 Custom Tune - This one has a walbro 480 fuel pump, 440cc 968 injectors, 11lb actuator and a after market intercooler.This runs a stock dump pipe, cat and exhaust. This basic upgrade After our tuning makes 383rwhp/ derived 625rwnm @13psi boost.
16.01.2022 Mick's manual VE SS came in making 325rwhp and 489rw nm of torque running a twin 3 inch x force exhaust. Result is After fitting one of our bottom end / mid range cam packages and giving it a mafless tune Zero torque loss under the Cam operating range...And a gain of 146rwhp and 109 rwnm of torque over the entire RPM range. Making 471rwhp and 589rwnm of torque.
16.01.2022 Austins VY came in with a twin 2.5 inch exhausr 1 3/4 headers, otr and a mafless tune it made 329rwhp and 518rwnm of torque as received. Fitted with a faraone engines cam kit unlocking the ecu and re tuning it. The result is 406rwhp and 588rwnm Torque with NO loss of torque off the cam and huge gains on it across the entire useable Rpm Range.
14.01.2022 Matt said his Ve felt flat as and lacked acceleration.A quick evaluation of his old tune , afrs and timing curves backed up what he felt . We unlocked the ecu and tuned this car propperly. Although it made 395rwhp /1901n/m as recieved..And now makes 408rwhp and 1944n/m.That Looks like a small gain from tuning but what the car does on the dyno is only a small part.. How it performs on the road after our tuning is what tells the real story as well as the owner Matts response after he drove it.
14.01.2022 Darren dropped his mafless tuned VF off for us to a Re tune it Just in time.. Yet again another one that had a mafless tune done elsewhere running 15 to 1 afrs under full load at wide open throttle .We only gained 10rwhp and 40rwn/m on the Dyno.. But driving the car shows the real story the part throttle torque delivery and throttle response is evident of its .92 lamda to .88 under full load.Too many dyno shops reading max hp on dynos and not understanding real world afrs...
14.01.2022 This Ba xr6 Turbo runs a stock exhaust, injectors and fuel pump Came here for a re tune and gained a decent amount of torque and power over what it came in with.Red tracer before blue is after.
14.01.2022 L77 powered AC cobra came in with 322rwhp /531rwnm. And after we mafless tuned it 396rwhp/614rwnm .This 6ltr runs a small cam and a 3.9 nine inch rear end.
13.01.2022 Wayne asked could we fix all the problems his 3x 45mm webbers were presenting. Then tune this VH Charger. The result is shown in the nice afr curve and the tractive power delivery from Waynes hemi 6 now.
13.01.2022 Dannys ba xr6t has a stock dump pipe cat and exhaust system it came in with 298rwhp 448/rwnm on 7psi. The back to back Result after we tuned it running 10psi show torque and power gained it now makes 379rwhp and 578rwnm.
13.01.2022 This 1971 Cudas TKO 2 transmission has given up coping the 900plus rw nm of torque and 850hp this mild pump gas n/a engine has .It runs a Warm Hemi , siamese bore block, mopar alloy heads ported here,forged pistons, oliver rods k1 crank, cleavite bearings,ross pistons, total seal rings,isky valve springs, crane roller lifters, stg 5 rockers,ferrea valves, Hydraulic roller cam, dual plane intake and 850 carb.The 540ci Hemi was Built here 11years ago makes bulk torque and will be much better suited to a manual valve body Auto trans and 3k stall.
12.01.2022 This is one of many done here.. n/a camed std 6ltrs making 500plus rwhp common results here been doing it over the last 14years since the Ls2 l98 l76 etc was delivered in Australia back in 2006. This one is another std 6ltr L77 with our 500 plus top end upgrades. Just with 1 of our larger cams and ptv clearancing, in house hand ported heads and mafless tune on factory std bottom ends. This car has a 3.46 diff ratio, a manual trans , twin 3 inch exhaust and otr. With 3.9 diff gears a good clutch and a good driver this manual combination has run 11.1@124mph n/a.1.75 to 60ft.
12.01.2022 yet another car that came in running a piston melting 15.0 afr and 29 degrees at wide open throttle to give max unrealistic dyno hp. Obviously there are a lot of wide open throttle tooners around chasing max Dyno numbers . The new tune Running the engine in a safe afr zone with less timing we only picked up a few horsepower and rwnm Torque... But the real story is told in the real world experience...By the cars on road performance, the owners response to the way the power delivers and how the transmission now shifts after our Tuning. Made 439rwhp..through 3.9s a 4000 stall 4l65.
11.01.2022 Rickis 2006 VE has a twin 2.5 inch exhaust system,VCM otr, std heads with one of our milder cams it makes 438rwhp/ 606rwnm through a t56 and 4.11 diff ratio. Has a tractable drive manner and pulls very hard from off idle to redline.
11.01.2022 The Faraone Engines charger has an appetite for maxing out mainline dynos. 38psi boost 3024rwhp / 11500rwnm/ the dynos cold rating is 13000rwnm at the HUB. Turns out this 572ci wedge consumed the dyno retarder torque rating and had a lot more to go.A quick look at the analogue pid read outs (showing retarder demand/ consumption were at full capacity) Tod at mainline confirmed the pro hub 4000Rwhp dyno he made was inadequate for our use and maxxed 11500nm at 38psi with this engine.
10.01.2022 Gerard's FG as delivered running a gtx 35/82 Turbo an upgraded fuel pump and injectors, upgraded intercooler 4inch dump pipe and exhaust as delivered making 523rwhp and 797rwnm on BP 98 and 19psi Boost. We gave it a re tune Gerard gained 87rwhp and 112 rwnm of torque from tuning nothing else.Result is 607rwhp and 909rwnm Of torque on BP98 and 19.5psi.
09.01.2022 Lee Roy dropped his Mafless tuned 2010 VE off with a few problems. His 6L80E neutralising on the 2nd to 3rd shift and had some interesting trans shift speed programmed into it. He also complained the it lacking throttle response and torque making 336rwhp and 477rwnm. So we unlocked the ecu and tuned the tcm properly. He now has 3rd gear back and perfect and firm trans shifts.Then we mafless tuned it properly result is he picked up throttle response ,torque and power jumping to 364rwhp and 506rwnm from the other wise stock L77.
08.01.2022 Brads SS came in with a poor shifting 4l60 and pluming black smoke on acceleration. He Told us he had been Mafless tuned previously. As received it made 314rwhp and 508rwnm . He asked could we unlock his ecu and tune the engine and 4l60 properly. Result After we mafless tuned it is 330rwhp / 520rwnm Torque and the trans shift feels firm with shift strategies now suited to the stock ls1s torque/rpm range making the car accelerate to full potential.
07.01.2022 This is a 400hp 1 of 21 Big Tank E49 Valiant chargers the engine was built here over ten years ago. 400hp no big deal. But consider this maintains its 48 year old pistons, con rods, crank and head and the original numbers matching d364C block so no need to make any more then the additional 100hp with this one. It has our in house hand porting on the original head, custom solid cam and precision engine building , weber rebuild and tuning combined together making in excess of ...100hp gain and much more torque and aggressive delivery over how it left the production line 48years ago. This has over Ten years of reliable service and is still going strong .These made 302hp from the factory and had a claimed 10 to 1 compression ..when actually they had 8.8 to 1 from factory.The webers had a very rich emulsion tube in them and on full acceleration from 1500 rpm dipped into the 10.0 afrs until about 4500rpm especially with a well sorted engine and good venturi signal. It takes a bit of tuning knowledge to make these run right on todays 98 unleaded .Beautiful old muscle cars they never date. See more
06.01.2022 As with everything we advertise here. This Entire Combination is built tuned and developed right here at Faraone engines and it has been that way here for 33 years. Over the last 30 years Our flag ship VH Charger has been first street car in Perth and Australia to many mile stones..This time Pioneering the pro hub dyno. 6 years ago this Car on its first run at 38psi effortlessly smashed 2840rwhp If we had a dyno capable years earlier then 2840rwhp at 38psi would of been sho...wn by this car in 2009. In 2014 The retarders were upgraded By Tod at mainline to there max capacity but this car hasnt seen the dyno since its first 2840rwhp run back then.Hopefully the pro hub 4000 can take the torque this engine produces and a 40psi hit this time. Result was with just over 40psi boost again effortlessly 3024rwhp and off the throttle exitting the run early. After looking at the analogue out put pids showing retarder consumption, load Turns out Something strange is still going on with the dyno during high torque and power runs with this car.Mainline are working with us to sort it we think the retarders are maxxing again. 05.01.2022 Dave complained about his VF R8 feeling flat and lacking acceleration..A quick run to review timing and afrs shpowed the reasons why..it was running very lean 16.7 afr under full load. We unlocked the ecu and mafless tuned it properly..This is another example demostrating DYNO RWHP doesnt always mean performance ..Here we know there is more to it then that... Tuning this thing for real world results we lost 2 rwhp but gained torque because afrs and ignition timing are much safer for this ls3 now.This is a different car to drive and it feels much stronger then before all though showed it lost 2rwhp on dyno..Torque gained but. Now excessively wheel spinning in first and second gear which it never did before and pulling hard to red line.
05.01.2022 Taylor's BA Xr 6 turbo came in with 1000cc injectors a duel fuel pump upgrade, dunp pipe hi flow cat single 4 inch exhaust external waist gate c4 with a totally out of place 3800 stall..as received it made 389rwhp and 822rwnm on 19psi . We retuned only. Retaining all of his mis matched components he gained power and torque here 414rwhp and 939rwnm.
04.01.2022 Aidens VE SS Auto .This car is completely stock. We fitted a VCM Otr and gave it a mafless tune. Came in with 311rwhp/1560nm motive force after the tune Left with 345rwhp /1700nm.
03.01.2022 This is a genuine low mile (60kmiles) Big Tank E49. Because of that This 265 engine build that was done here had many restrictions retaining originality was important and it retains 95 percent of its 48year old original internals. Other then cam shaft , vsprings rockers and lifters, rings bearings rod bolts and Gaskets. The head was ported here too and the tripple 45mm webbers stripped down and re built jetted tuned here too extracting the best drivability and power delivery. This mild pump gas 265 makes 310rwhp running a 3.5 diff ratio and a borgwarner single rail - d20.Consider the E49 from the factory at best made 200rwhp to max 215rwhp depending on diff ratio 3.23 adding approx 15rwhp over 3.5s.
03.01.2022 Sam's VZ 6 ltr came in with a twin 3 inch exhaust , otr and mafless tune it made 365rwhp and 530rwnm and had a few drivability issues as delivered .We unlocked his ecu unlock and re tuned it fixed the driving manners and picked up torque and power 549rwnm and 374rwhp.
02.01.2022 416LS3 - 100rwhp gain from experience right cam and tuning. Came in with 480rwhp 1891nm...It left with 580rwhp and 2400nm 500rpm earlier.
