14.01.2022 Have you met TOM? Despite what the alcohol marketers will tell us, a #ThirdOfMen in ACT want to cut down on their drinking. We've launched a new website helping all TOMs everywhere meet their drinking goals:
10.01.2022 We're saddened at reports that the NDIS Minister is considering excluding Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) from the NDIS. It is a disability. Stuart Robert MP, people with FASD and their families already struggle to access the NDIS. They count on the government to do more to help them not less. It is one step forward and two steps back for people with FASD and their families. Just as people with FASD were starting to get the supports they need, it now looks like it ...will all be taken away. Caterina Giorgi, CEO - FARE We call on the Australian Government to immediately confirm that people with FASD will continue to have access to NDIS.
10.01.2022 Jono Nicholas, wellbeing expert and TOM Ambassador, has a message for the #ThirdofMen in ACT who want to cut down on their drinking: 'There's a great life on the other side'. 10.01.2022 A 2020 survey by VicHealth found that on-demand alcohol delivery companies are not only avoiding basic safety standards but also contributing to increased risky drinking and harm. Failure to meet basic safety standards for online sale and delivery of alcohol puts our communities at risk. This includes failure to check identification and delivery to those who are already intoxicated. Our communities should be healthy and safe, free from alcohol harm. That’s why we need common-sense measures around online alcohol deliveries.
