23.01.2022 Another truism for those of us who love dogs.

22.01.2022 What might you say to your pet when you have to let him or her go to The Rainbow Bridge? What might your pet say to you? The words of this poem may bring comfort by easing the guilt that one might feel.

22.01.2022 This video explores the reasons why the loss of a pet may be so significant in the lives of pet owners, while validating the grief they experience. Although it tells the stories of people in the UK there are pet bereavement counsellors who, and groups which, can be sourced for assistance in other countries. If you feel that you might like to source any of these support systems you might like to google Pet Loss, or Pet Bereavement. There are also many Facebook groups which yo...u can also join under the same headings. If you are struggling you don't have to be alone in your journey. There are people who understand. My wish would be that you find peace as you journey the path of grief. John. https://vimeo.com/429210219 See more

22.01.2022 How many cat lovers identify with this? Maybe other animals might also say this.

19.01.2022 Please feel free to browse through my collection of poems. Some celebrate having a fur baby as a cherished family member. Others, however, have been used in pet funeral ceremonies. Those poems have been written to assist in the grieving process which occurs when one loses a pet. Currently there is a choice of all poems containing either background: floral, or purple / blue mandala. If desired, the other backgrounds shown in the album can be utilised instead. Some poems are g...ender specific because of the limitations of rhyming patterns, while other poems refer to either female or male pets. The description alongside each indicates whether it is available in both female and male versions. All of the poems are for sale as A4 size laminations. They are available at $5.50 AUS each, plus postage or delivery, and packing materials. Quotes can be forwarded upon any enquiry with no obligation to purchase. If you would like to have one of the poems superimposed over a photo of your pet with a font colour of your choice this may also be possible. Examples of this are also included in the poems. These would also be available at $5.50 AUS each plus a processing fee of $6.00 AUS. I am also able to forward any poems as digital copies. Prices would be as stated above. They are available to international customers also. If interested in purchasing please feel free to contact me either by Messenger, OR phone 0438 997 121 for a no obligation chat. If you have further questions I am quite happy to answer them obligation free. I am based in Adelaide, South Australia, so differences in time zones may prevent me from replying immediately. I apologise for any inconvenience that may cause. I trust you will enjoy the ones that have lighter subject matter, and I would hope that those relating more to the loss of a treasured fur baby would give comfort, strength and assist in helping you to move towards healing from the pain of a loss of a pet. To you, I offer my condolences. John. See more

19.01.2022 I'm sure that this can apply to other fur babies besides dogs.

18.01.2022 This may be an indication of how God looks after His people and His animals. No gender. Flower background: FLM32 Purple blue background: PBM32

18.01.2022 Food for thought. This can apply to not only dogs.

17.01.2022 Can you guess which one is not the pet? https://www.facebook.com/ovidiu.ruset/videos/10218617963780275/?t=0

17.01.2022 As a dog owner I have to agree.

16.01.2022 Worth thinking about.

15.01.2022 This was on another post. It is food for thought.

15.01.2022 POEM, "The Track". I have posted my latest poem, "The Track", which is based on a story, "The Hunt", which aired on "The Twilight Zone", (Series 3, Episode 19), in the 60s on TV. It deals with the question of God looking out for animals and their owners when they have both died.... I would like to thank Mary Mastrone for giving me the idea to write this poem. You will find it by going to "Photos", and then to "Pet Poetry for Sale". It is at the bottom of that section. Thank you, John.

14.01.2022 For dog lovers.

13.01.2022 Food for thought.

10.01.2022 This is rather touching. I have often read posts where people say their pets rescued them.

09.01.2022 The loss of a pet can be devastating. This poem acknowledges the wonderful gifts that pets have gifted to their owners, while offering hope for the future when they meet their treasured pets at The Rainbow Bridge.

06.01.2022 I am sure that this can apply to other animals besides dogs.

05.01.2022 I would like to introduce you to Amy Page LeBlanc, the Founder and Grief Facilitator at "griefPets". Her story is worth reading as it explains the concept of her business much better than I would be able to. The following is written by her. I also invite you to like her page in order to spread the word about her business. Thank you in anticipation. John. I have been an animal lover since I can remembermy first memories are when I was about 18 months and I would crawl ou...tside to play with our 2 cocker spaniels, Cindy and Flop, in their dog house in our backyard. I was an avid reader of books and encyclopedias on dogs and horses all during my teen years, and knew most breeds of both. I have been blessed with 12 dogs, 1 bunny, 2 house cats and numerous strays. Animals are in my soul. in 2014, I had to unexpectedly euthanize both of my dogs within 6 months of each other. The first was my 9 year old, Maggie, and the second was my 13 year old baby, Lola. The night my husband and I euthanized Maggie was one of the hardest times in our lives or so I thought, subsequently six months I lost my precious Lola. It was then that I found my deepest grief. For the first time I found myself childless. Sleeping became very difficult for me and I was at a loss. That week my four year old niece handed me her very special stuffed animal that she slept with every night and said Yaya sleep with this. I was brought to tears by her gesture and gave her the biggest hug. That night I cuddled it the way I did Maggie and Lola and was able to drift off and sleep peacefully through the night. When I woke up the next morning, the idea came to mea griefpuppy. Something to give one comfort and solace during their time of loss. After hours of endlessly searching the internet I realized what I had to do, not just for me but for others in the same situation. After two years in the making, griefpets is the first tactile transitional tool to help people cope with the grief over the death of a pet. The grief-kit includes: a stuffed animal, griefpuppy or griefkitty, designed with healing emotions in mind, to ignite hearts with happiness, peace, and relief. The pets have a safe microwavable heating pack to help calm and soothe the griever, nurture the soul. The heat pack also gives the pets a more realistic feel than a fluffy stuffed animal. On the chest, there is a hidden pocket to encapsulate mementos and a heart shaped frame for a picture of your beloved pet. The workbook was authored by a licensed, certified grief therapist, Amy Shore, to assist the griever through the process of grief. The workbook is designed for the griever to journal memories and emotions to honor their pet and the special bond sharedour fur-babies are never replaceable, we forever hold them in our hearts. http://griefpets.com/ [email protected]

05.01.2022 This is quite amazing. It is also poetry in motion.

04.01.2022 Food for thought. I would believe that other family pets, or family members as I like to view them, also do this.

04.01.2022 How many of us experience this?

04.01.2022 I saw this on another group and thought it was worthwhile sharing.

03.01.2022 For those who have lost a family member including fur babies.
