10.01.2022 The South Australian Government website has updated to state that: ‘remedial or therapeutic massage and myotherapy services provided in a clinical or health car...e setting may continue’. The Association interprets this as confirming that therapeutic and remedial massage have been differentiated from that of relaxation massage and can be performed by members. 04.01.2022 -- Your Industry Associations' Continue to Work Together -- We understand that there is currently widespread confusion among some healthcare professionals. Simp...ly put, they don’t know whether they count as 'essential' healthcare, or 'non-essential'. Whilst many industry associations have spoken to Ministers and Departments over the past week, we continue to be told different things. In most cases, there has been no clarification. Massage & Myotherapy Australia, Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and Myotherapy Association Australia work collectively urging Departments and Ministers to help the many small business healthcare professionals to adopt one standard, national definition for 'non-essential healthcare professionals'.
