21.01.2022 Farm Shark Tank 30 March 2021 8 farmers are pitching their farm to a panel of investors, bankers and farming champions on Tuesday 30 March 2021 1:00 - 3:30 (Eas...tern Time) - our version of Farm Shark Tank. I am so proud to be part of the journey with these farmers. They have been part of Cultivator 3 and have been working since late last year to clarify their farm investment proposal and have been selected to pitch at the Farm Shark Tank. Who should come 1. Potential investors: particularly people interested in investing into farms within their community 2. Retiring farmers: farmers who have been thinking about sharing ownership and are on the look out for quality farmers 3. Aspiring farmers: get inspired that you too can develop a pitch and fast track your farm ownership dreams 4. Regional community champions: you can be your own farm match maker and inspire farmers in your region We run Cultivator (4th program is operating right now) to empower farmers. We know the best way for you to own your farm is to have a plan. We help farmers develop their farm investment pitch and then work with them to uncover opportunities; local investors or retiring farmers. Without a plan, no-one knows what you want and also doesn’t know you are serious and capable. An amazing request came through last week for a customer’s meat to be wrapped onl...y on paper rather than vaccum sealing it. We were keen to give it a go and are so pleased to say it worked out well! No mess, no leaks and most importantly, NO PLASTIC Who is keen to give this option a go? 15.01.2022 The Easter School Holidays are nearly here! We have just put up all of our School Holiday Farm tour dates. We have Morning Chores Tours where you join a group... and come along with us as we feed the animals & see the cow being milked. And we have Private Afternoon Tours where you organise your own group and come along as we do our Afternoon Chores feeding run. On the Afternoon tour you have the farm, the farmer & the animals all to yourselves. You can see the pigs being fed, feed the chooks and ducks, collect the eggs, pat a calf & cuddle chicks. As an added bonus our gorgeous Melody is due to calve during the school holidays. Autumn is such a wonderful time to be out on the farm connecting with the animals & nature.
