16.01.2022 The HIA Eastern Victoria Regional Housing awards were held last Friday Night, and we couldnt be prouder of our results! Tillmore was a finalist in the Custom Designed Home over $1m category this is an outstanding achievement against a large number of amazing homes (Farm Houses design team Leonie & Sandy, with Doug the builder (Construction By Law) and our very happy clients, Kate and Greg)... Congratulations once again to an exceptional team!

16.01.2022 A home at lockup stage is basically completed (but unpainted) externally - so all the cladding and bracing is fitted, the doors, windows and roof are installed, and the decks have been constructed. The house has taken shape, and shows clearly how it is going to look when finished. Internally, the sheet flooring is laid and the wall frames are constructed, however, plumbing, electrical, and plastering works have not yet commenced.

16.01.2022 We are thrilled to pass on the news of another sensational award achieved by Doug the builder and his amazing construction team. Following on from the Eastern Victoria awards, where Cliff Cottage won the Renovation/Addition Project: up to $300,000 division, and was also named overall Renovation/Addition Project of the Year, this home progressed as an entrant into the Victoria wide Competition. We were very excited to be notified that Cliff Cottage had been named a Victo...rian finalist and very proud to be awarded second place, as the 2016 HIA CSR Victorian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards: Renovation/Addition Project: up to $300,000 Runner Up. "HIA offers an array of Awards to help HIA members receive recognition for outstanding workmanship, design and innovation in the dwellings they build or for their professionalism on and off the worksite." 15.01.2022 Currently under construction on horse aggistment farmland in Hastings is the very impressive Eternal Flame. This 480m2 (52 square) home has been designed to meet the needs of this family now and into the future. Five generous bedrooms provide comfortable accomodation for the family and their guests. The master bedroom takes in outstanding views of the property, and is complete with a luxurious ensite and extensvie walk-in closets. All bedrooms have generous storage space,... and one bedroom is fitted with an ensuite with provision to be used as semi-dependant accomodation for an elderly or infirm relative should this be required. The well appointed kitchen is suplemented by a huge pantry space, and the large dining area comfortably allows entertaining of family and friends. The family room adjoings a large outdoor deck providing a sizable entertaining area. Upstairs the substaintial living area flows onto the balcony, providing panoramic views of the property, Westernport Bay, French Island, the Strzelecki Ranges and Baw Baw National Park. 13.01.2022 In January, 2015 Farm Houses of Australia relocated its offices from the stunning Ferny Hill Merricks (when the property was sold) to our office/factory premises in Watt Road, Mornington. These premises no longer suit our needs, so weve decided its time for us to head back to our rural roots! From March 2020, we will again be enjoying the beautiful Mornington Peninsula country side alongside the gorgeous Eternal Flame which is currently under construction. This move wi...ll allow our clients to inspect the Eternal Flame to see the quality of home we are able to construct for you. In the meantime, we will continue to provide our custom design and construction service from our Watt Road showroom. 12.01.2022 Recently Completed, "Echo Forest Lodge" - Although still requiring some finishing touches, Echo Forest Lodge is an outstanding example of a blend of contemporary features within a traditional style farm home. Designed to meet the needs of the family now and into the future, the home features dual living spaces, secluded master area, and ensuites to each of the bedrooms. A blend of external materials and soaring roof lines have resulted in a home exuding character and country charm, designed to perfectly complement the gorgeous farmland surrounding it.

12.01.2022 2016 Winner HIA Eastern Victoria Renovation / Addition Project - Up to $300,000 Cliff Cottage 2016 Winner HIA Eastern Victoria RENOVATION / ADDITION PROJECT OF THE YEAR Cliff Cottage... Our builder, Construction By Law has done it again, not only winning the price division for renovations/additions, but OVERALL WINNER in an area spanning the Mornington Peninsula to the Eastern most point of of Victoria!! Congratulations to Doug and the team..... Located in the desirable beachside suburb of Frankston South, Cliff Cottage was an appealing, although ramshackle and outdated home. Varying floor and ceiling levels had resulted from lean-to extensions, although the floor plan was essentially functional and practical. A complete external refurbishment including a new, double car garage with undercover access to the front entry, fibre cement weatherboards, new Colorbond roof and double-glazed composite aluminium/timber windows has given this home a crisp modern feel, whilst still retaining the yesteryear character. Internally, the home layout was tweaked to meet the owners needs. Two ensuite bathrooms were added, and the existing kitchen, laundry and bathroom fittings were replaced. All floor coverings were replaced, except for the existing Vic Ash flooring which was extended to fit the altered floor plan, and then restored to its former glory. The original brick chimney was retained as an external feature, and the original brick fireplace adds loads of character to the master bedroom.

01.01.2022 The clients brief for the design of this home was quite specific the home needed to be compact, yet comfortable and functional, the exterior appearance was to be based around an English Cottage, and all their requirements needed to be achieved on a limited budget. The owners could not be happier with the final outcome! This modest 140m2 home is packed with features. A provincial style kitchen with the owners dream oven, and spacious walk-in pantry make cooking a breeze. T...hree generous bedrooms (all with built in storage), large family bathroom and full ensuite allow for very comfortable family living, whilst providing plenty of room for overseas guests. The large laundry/mudroom provides a buffer between the horse training facilities outside, and the rest of the home.
