24.01.2022 Does anyone have experience using boron as a desiccant or herbicide? FARM is keen to instigate some trials for pre-harvest alternatives in grain sorghum and mungbeans. Anyone got summer crop they were going to desiccate or apply glyphosate to, who wants to participate in this research?

10.01.2022 Regen Ag field day that was planned for April has been postponed (no surprises there). Sorry for that, its such a good time to talk farming. Guess we all just ...have to stay home and do our farming ourselves. Well hold more field days once this shutdown is over. In the meantime, we maybe able to do some videos for you, stay tuned. 09.01.2022 This is a story about Alexander beetle - a true survivor and victorious in the end. Did you spot him?

09.01.2022 Important question to my friends who are reliant on rainfall for a living... If you measure the rain first thing in the morning... do you record the rainfall for the date you measured it or on yesterday's date? I think I've been recording it on the wrong date...

09.01.2022 This was an excellent day our talking with farmers around the Chinchilla region

08.01.2022 After a SQ Landscapes field day with Stuart Andrews a few weeks back, I got to wondering if I could start high on the landscape and "slow the flow" by building a ditch/bank on the contour. Got the old back blade out and had a play on an existing drain - worked pretty well until it broke! Still keen. Im getting a laser level and looking for a better grader/back blade. at Alaringa

07.01.2022 Highly recommended.. Make the best use of feed, build soil biology, ensure animal performance.. by doing your winter grazing plan. Please share to any farming friends.

06.01.2022 Those around Millmerran interested in the Peter Andrews concepts will find this interesting... sorry about the short notice!

05.01.2022 It’s what we have always known but it’s nice to have the science behind it also. Very technical research paper but the take home message is that intercropping chickpeas with durum wheat definitely increased the access to phosphorus in these P-deficient soils. What might harvest timing/logistics and outcomes look like if we planted a mix of half-rates chickpeas and wheat/barley?

05.01.2022 Good news Friday... http://www.theaustralianagronomist.com/universally-positiv/

05.01.2022 When current farming practices see continual decline in soil organic matter and decreasing yield per kg or nutrient input, then it's time to change something. This is happening in our soils too

02.01.2022 Who would have thought..... Mycorrhizal fungi help plants cope better with moisture and heat stress. I love it when the scientific world catches up with and backs up what many farmers have known for years. Good article. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releas/2020//200129174508.htm

01.01.2022 We have some great news to share!
