09.01.2022 "In August last year we found one of our better young bulls (away on another block) with a bone lodged in the back of his throat preventing him from swallowing at all. Once removed we nursed him back to health. As we got through into summer and with show season approaching we started him and his peers onto a grain ration. Whilst we thought he had returned to full health the bacteria in his gut must have been affected more than we thought and on the grain ration bloat became q...uite an issue. We tried bloat oils in his water which in turn he would not drink, so we added bi-carb soda to his grain ration.
