21.01.2022 Well its been a pretty crazy couple of weeks for us down at Keperra Picnic Ground! The support for us during this pandemic has been overwhelming! For the last 5 or so Friday nights, we have either sold out or hit a FB record down at the site! This is awesome, but with this comes its own challenges. During these busy periods, wait times can definitely spike. For anyone that has been down on a Friday night, you would see the 2 ovens cranking, all 8 of us in full sw...ing, taking phone calls from both phones. We have set-up a 2nd making station and all of this, in an attempt to speed things up and limit wait times. And yet, the time from taking the order to receiving your order can still be a fair bit longer than usual. We attempt to combat this by staggering phone orders, giving wait times based off the last completed order and keeping up communications between all these legends who work with me. We are working on other creative ways to speed up the process during these busy times and would like to thank everyone for their understanding. We have also been working on improving the star of the show, the ! Over the last few months, we have completely overhauled our pizza base receipe and have started from scratch. Huge thanks to our regulars, who were our guinea pigs during this process. We will continue to hand roll our dough up to 3 times a week, to keep it as fresh as possible. We have changed over to waygu for our mince, butternut for our pumpkin and country for our music. The last one comes with the job and from all reports, it grows on you! 19.01.2022 After discussions with Brisbane City Council, we will still be able to operate down at @ Ferny Grove Aqua Park this week! As previously mentioned, we have added a few extra days to our service! Our new operating hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 4pm- 8pm. This will continue until we receive information instructing us to do otherwise.:) We have been told that you will still be able to come and place takeaway and phone orders for pick up. Please just be mindful of the ...social distancing of 1.5m and not to be in groups of more than 2. We will still be able to take phone payments and deliver the pizzas to the car park too. Just give us a call and we will be able to talk you through this process. This week we will also be offering our delivery service. I have decided to keep this service in house, so please bare with us while we develop this part of our business. How it will work is, - Just call to place your order. We will take full payment over the phone and all necessary details. - The driver will make contact to notify you of the arrival time. - Pizzas will be transported in insulated bags - The driver will leave the pizzas at the nominated spot (ie. front door) and notify of delivery through SMS or phone call. We will be delivering to, - Upper Kedron - Ferny Grove - Ferny Hills - Arana Hills - Keperra * This has the potential to change. I just want to make sure we get the logistics right, before we expand to other suburbs. We will have a 2 x pizza minimum and have a flat rate of $10 delivery. This is our start point and we will adapt and change as we chugg along!

08.01.2022 Wow.... for the first time in a very long time, we actually sold out... To everyone that came down, we thank you so much for coming down and for your patience. The ovens were both red hot and we were making the pizzas as fast as humanly possible with the 2 x making stations racing... and yet wait times were still at times, very long . In the 4 years that we have been operating, definitely one of our busiest nights! Huge thanks to my crew tonight too!! You were all amazing and cant thank you enough for the massive effort! We had 8 bodies in motion, working incredibly well together!

08.01.2022 So here we are. Thought I would jump on here and do my best to keep everyone in the loop. Like everyone else, COVID-19 is having an effect on us here at Farmer Browns Pizzas. We are preparing for many scenarios and will be adapting, changing and pivoting as the information flows through. My main focus is my team, our customers and the safety and viability of FBP. So I think it will be easiest to break it down into the two main parts of our business, Functions and Food Truck... operations. In regards to our Thursday and Friday night Food Truck operations, our current plan is to continue like normal. We will continue to operate down at Keperra Picnic Ground from 4pm- 8pm. Depending on any advice from the powers that be, we are prepared to tailor and adapt our operation to adhere to any and all advice from government and health authorities. Our sanitising and cleaning processes will be strictly followed and all necessary precautions will be enforced. We are putting plans in place to change our operations if things do escalate and taking preempted measures to ensure we keep our high standard of operation, keeping staff, guests and food safe. We are looking at partnering options with the potential for food delivery services, ability to take phone payments with car park delivery and extending our operating hours during this period. I currently have an active roster of 13 legends with a percentage of casual and part-time members. I will be doing everything in my power to make sure they can continue to meet their financial commitments, while providing our product to our legion of amazing customers. For functions, we fully understand the predicament hosts are facing with the idea of hosting groups of friends and family with something so formidable lurking around. Our stance is if the event meets government stipulations of group gatherings, we are more than happy to continue like normal. We know maximum group numbers and advice of social distancing has the potential to change at any moment and we will staying up to date with the advice from Scomo and his team. We will be slightly changing our operation to ensure staff & guest safety and will advise hosts of these changes. We fully understand that postponing and rescheduling are definitely options and will be moving mountains to accommodate these changes. 06.01.2022 Well, well, well .. what a week. Big shout out to all the other small business owners! Its hard times, but we will do everything to try and support other local businesses during these times. Especially the hairdressers, who have 30 minutes to wash, cut, colour, perm and straighten the hair... and thats just for my weekly trim. After last nights announcments, we will continue to operate down at Keperra Picnic Ground! We have been approved by council to extent our... operating hours and will now be open from Wednesday - Saturday from 4pm-8pm! This means we will be open tonight!! To stay safe and comply with government guidelines, we will be implementing further changes. Ill be doing further posts with the changes, but for now Ill give everyone a hot tip. - We will now only have Eftpos facilities. - We can take phone payments and deliver to cars in the carpark. - We have a second Eftpos machine arriving today and second phone in place. Calls will devert to this phone if one of my team is taking a phone payment. - We will continue periodic sanitising and cleaning procedures. - Delivery is coming! If youre a bit of a legend and looking for something to do on Saturday nights, then send us an e-mail. For insurance reasons, you do have to be over 25 with an open drivers license. So the current position i...s for roughly 4.5 hrs on Saturday evenings. We work in teams of 2-6 people and travel all over Brisbane. The job would includes cooking in a wood-fired oven, making and taking pizzas around to guests with the exuberance and flair that words cannot describe. You would drive one of our vehicles and would need an open drivers license for this. All training is provided and you would just need to be able to get to Mitchelton. There is strong potential for more work, we just start with Saturday nights. You dont need any experience in the industry. We just want someone thats pretty outgoing, great attention to detail with a great attitude and can work well in a team environment.

02.01.2022 Looks like a second storm is coming on through, so batten down the hatches and grab a cold one. Been a while, so pull up a chair and let me give you an update on everything FBP. So it's been a little over 7 months that COVID really made itself known to us. Awesome to see our friends and family down in Melbourne experiencing an easing of a few of those restrictions with hopefully more to come. When the restrictions were first imposed, we really felt for all the functions... that couldn't go ahead. We know how devastating this virus can be, but was still heartbreaking for people to find out on the day that their wedding wouldn’t be able to go ahead, milestone birthday parties would have to wait months and instead of celebrating their child's 1st birthday party on the day, having to hold out until it has been safe to do so. We have worked incredible hard to rebook nearly all functions and makes for a busy end of year. With the minimal new cases, hopefully we can stay on this trajectory and in the near future be able to see and celebrate with our friends and family members from across the country. During the last few months, we have been operating under a COVID safe plan and can give more information to anyone with any questions about how that all works. Weekly calls to the COVID hotline have been keeping us up to date with changes and throw in the occasional visit from the fuzz to keep us in check. During this COVID period, we have investing a fair bit of time into working on our main product, the pizza itself. Seeing what happens when we change ratios of key ingredients in the dough, different temperatures and experimenting with fermentation times. We have continued to hand roll all of our bases and having some great results with the slightly puffy crusts. The next frontier we plan to conquer will be opening a store front. We were looking at expanding our fleet again, but feel a store will really compliment the catering and food truck side of the business. This new endeavor will help with the logistics and create a place Farmer Brown's Pizzas can really call home. We don't have a time frame on this yet and have been working out just how much is involved in getting it off the ground. One last point, we are hiring! We are in need of another crew member to jump onboard! You know the drill, love pizza, people & be able to drive. Just need to be over 25 for insurance purposes. It would be around 12-20 hours a week and would include all facets of the business (cooking, serving, making etc). 02.01.2022 Its been a wild few months, but hopefully we are through the worst of it and can embrace this new normal. We were very lucky to still be able to operate the Food Truck during this period. I cannot thank enough all the people who came down and supported us . Over 70% of our business (pre-covid) was catering and that just stopped overnight. We had to adapt, freak out, calm down and implement the changes. When the Covid restrictions were announced and sadly all catering ...was stopped, I did say to all the hosts that had to postpone, that I would move mountains to accommodate them once restrictions got lifted. With last weeks announcement by the premier, now is that time. Many couples now have the opportunity to commemorate their special day , belated birthdays can now be celebrated , milestones of years married and welcomed additions to the family can now all be honoured with a get together of friends and family ! In an attempt to accommodate these events, we will need all available trailers. This means we will be going back to pre-covid operating days, but keeping Wednesdays in place. This means that we wont be able to operate on a Saturday night down at Keperra Picnic Ground. We will continue to operate on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night from 4pm - 8pm. We were hoping to give more notice, but with all 6 trailers out this weekend, the announcement came sooner than expected. With this, we will be on the hunt for another staff member to join our crew. The candidate we are looking for has to be over 25 years with an open drivers licence. If you have a genuine love of people, pizza and getting paid, we might have a job for you . 01.01.2022 We survived! Still cooking until 8pm

01.01.2022 Hope everyone had a great Christmas and enjoying 2021 thus far! Today was meant to be our first day back at Keperra Picnic Ground. Sadly, it's going to have to be tomorrow :( We have noticed a crack in the oven, that's not worth the risk of expanding. We will fix it up and be good as new In other, much better news....... We have our store! We will be moving into the old Superchicken store, down at Ferny Fair shopping centre on Patricks Rd, Ferny Hills. During the bre...ak, we have been working with the landlord and council to finalise everything and it all looks to be on like Donkey Kong! Lease is signed and fitout submitted! We are pushing to be opened around early March & will 100% keep everyone in the loop with updates as we go So the plan will be to operate the store in the evening from 4pm - 8pm and we will be trading 6 days a week. We will still have our Food truck continuing to serve down at our site, but might slightly change opening days as we get closer to the store opening. This will be because by then, I will have officially lost my mind and might need to calm the farm. Our catering side of the business will continue like normal! Our 6 trailers will be out and about, looking after those special occasions and will continue to operate in a Covid safe way!
