21.01.2022 HAVE YOUR SAY http://www.farmersnetwork.org.au/development-of-northern-au

20.01.2022 We look forward to the Senate going on tour. Farmers Network are asking 1.That Government on all sides agree to reverse Australias Fauna Extinction Crisis as a priority. 2. We are calling for a ban on large scale clearing for expansion of industrialized agriculture. 3. Investment for farm bio-diversity by creating, expanding and protecting all riparian wildlife corridors. ... Self Regulation is not working. Enhancing riparian wildlife corridors helps farming bio-diversity, our community and our water Quality for the Coastal River systems and Oceans. Its time to join all the dots for all Australians and care for our Country. Please like our Page - and follow www.farmersnetwork.org.au See more

20.01.2022 The top End of Northern Australia. Is it going to remain our last remaining Wilderness with Wild Rivers - or Cleared for the Big Agriculture Investors? The size of potential clearing and damning of our Wild Rivers is up to the size of Victoria of around 200,000 million kilometers of native vegetation. URGING EVERYONE TO HAVE YOUR SAY on the DEVELOPMENT OF NORTHERN AUSTRALIA SURVEY - as this is going to be submitted to the Senate Enquiry with our published submission on "Australias Fauna Extinction Crisis". Please share this. If you do not know about this - please select no. please click YES to be updated https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Q5WMZF6

19.01.2022 Did you know: To CLEAR millions of km2s of Native Vegetation for Cotton and Rice, for corporate Big Ag. and foreign partnerships for overseas visas is anti-Australian! That Northern Australia has wild places which should be protected for all Australians. That existing agricultural areas (such as Mareeba/Dimbulah Region, the Atherton Tablelands, coastal lowlands of the East Coast of Qld and the Lockyer Valley) could be improved and diversified to increase food production... in Qld without broad scale land clearing new areas of Native Scrub. That the best land in Australia has already been taken for farming That Farmers be assisted to increase their production and their BIO-DIVERSITY That the ECONOMY needs to factor in our Wild Places and protection for future generations. EDUCATION to care for our Country Assist our sugar Cane farmers to set up buffer zones and reveg their creeks to stop the massive pollution going into the Great Barrier REEF o If they are not assisted and education to care for our country by developing an on the ground scheme that works. o If pollution keeps running into our Great Barrier Reef then laws need to be enforced. The Great Barrier Reef programme is not working. That farmers and mainstream members who care about our Country by improving their bio-diversity receive some form of subsidy such as reduced Council Rates. One of the subsidies could be to fence off riparian water courses, and even widen them, which are the natural habitats of our wildlife, and also to subsidize water reticulation for cattle troughs to keep cattle Adopt incentives to increase bio-diversity. www.farmersnetwork.org.au

19.01.2022 A brochure we have been working on:- We are clearing our rainfall away...

17.01.2022 As farmers, we are concerned that there is a lack of knowledge of Australian vegetation and soils by politicians and decision makers. If you too are a concerned farmer, farm manager, food supplier or primary producer, read more on website and join us. We need to build a strong network and get our voices heard. We need a sustainable future for our farms.

17.01.2022 Field Day held on Sustainable Farming - Children are our future. What a great day for the students and Teachers from TAS who came up from Cairns. The highlight was feeding the Calves.

15.01.2022 After 2nd months since the hip operation, feeling about 80%. Look forward to sharing our new bull - called Leroy!

14.01.2022 Time is running out - HAVE YOUR SAY - To the Senate Enquiry on Australias Fauna Extinction Crisis http://www.farmersnetwork.org.au/development-of-northern-au REGENERATIVE CARBON FARMING IS PART OF THE SOLUTION - BECAUSE IT WORKS!

13.01.2022 Local council elections are coming up soon. Support our farming future with regenerative farming solutions for combating drought, desertification, and dust storms. We invite you to learn more about regenerative farming by visiting https://www.farmersnetwork.org.au/climate-solutions-for-aus

11.01.2022 Welcome to the Farmers Network page. Here we will be campaigning to protect our farming future. We invite Australians to learn about regenerative farming to combat drought, dust storms, and desertification. Regenerative farming supports nature. Please like and share and register your interest in regenerative farming.

08.01.2022 Wishing Alan a speedy recovery. Really enjoy this day.

07.01.2022 Farmers Network are claiming that it would be far better to support existing farmers to increase their production and bio-diversity, rather than spending $billions of tax-payers money to provide infrastructure to CLEAR native vegetation to support Large scale Industrial Agricultural for Northern Australia. The message here is that farmers have already taken up the best land since settlement, which has already been cleared, and that Australia already has food bowls which cou...ld be improved upon and supported instead. After attending some informative farming seminars, a subject of concern for us was/is about retaining farming bio-diversity for the health of future farming and water protection. CEO Phil Emms, from Farmers Network states that he has seen many changes since the selling out of commercial dairy farming. Phil and his family own and operate improved farm properties in the Atherton Tablelands. His background as a dairy farmer from Warrnambool (Western District, Victoria) allowed him to experience the importance of basic soil health (nutrients) maintenance conjoined with selective animal husbandry techniques using the best AI bulls available, importantly managing grassland for optimal soil health. On properties serviced by perennial streams, we have fenced off the Riparian Zones and planted out native vegetation. This has a 3-fold effect: 1. Cattle cant access the water directly and pollute and damage the banks 2. Increased the water quality including (downstream farmers) 3. Allowed the native wildlife to once again thrive unhindered. The riparian zone on virtually all farms is the life blood (water source) and the actual highway for thousands of our most precious endangered wildlife unique to Australia. The Tablelands Food Bowl - This is taken from The Qld Dept of Agriculture web-site 2015 INDUSTRY DIVERSITY Tablelands agriculture includes a wide diversity of tropical and subtropical production of plant and animal industries. Forty-two large agricultural industries were identified in the Tablelands region in 2015. The success and resilience of the Tablelands agriculture sector can be attributed to this industry diversity, which provides options to farmers to change crops and farming systems to adapt to market cycles and consumer demands HAVE YOUR SAY on Australian Fauna Extinction Crisis www.farmersnetwork.org.au

06.01.2022 Why have our fires been so great? Because we are clearing our rainfall away. There is abundant scientific evidence that deforestation and degradation of vegetation causes significant reductions in rainfall. We have enough evidence to prove that clearing land affects our rainfall, causes dust-storms, strong wind currents, droughts and now the largest bushfires ever seen. It is time to work with nature and restore and regenerate our land. Our greatest assets are our water, so...il and forests. This photo was taken on the Atherton Tablelands where the landowner has restored soils through regenerative farming.

05.01.2022 Peeramon Farms have just had light showers last week and yesterday. Hope everyone starts getting some rains soon.

05.01.2022 Farmers Network are calling for 1. A strong National Government that will reverse Australias Fauna Extinction Crisis as a priority. 2. We are calling for a ban on large scale clearing for expansion of industrialized agriculture. 3. Investment for farm bio-diversity by creating, expanding and protecting all riparian wildlife corridors, for the sake of our future farming, our Great Barrier and the millions of tourists who visit our Wild Places of Northern Australia. www.farmersnetwork.org.au

05.01.2022 FARMERS NETWORK are advocating that long term progressive thinking is required to support existing farmers to improve their soil types and bio-diversity. The $billions of dollars that is proposed for the infrastructure that supports the destruction of our North Australian wild places for the commodity markets and Adani would be better spent on supporting Australians and jobs which Care for Our Country. - If Government is going to address the URGENT Australian Fauna Extinct...ion Crisis, then riparian wildlife corridors are now required which will also support our water quality, oceans and climate. - Support existing Farmers to improve their farming systems and bio-diversity. - It is very important that Australians reconnect to the land and environment if we are going to protect our farming future, by adopting the knowledge thats already available. - Existing Farmers need assistance to improve their production and crop diversity on existing cleared areas to help overcome droughts, (dust storms), and soil damage. - Farmers want their children to take over their farms that are profitable. The adoption of best farming practices which include many types of highly productive rejuvenative systems will require the creation of NEW JOBS. This may also include work for the Dole supports throughout regional Australia. - The creation of jobs in caring for our Country in conjunction with Land-Care organizations will have an enormous flow on effect to our regional towns and small businesses. Clearing Native Vegetation is not appropriate. We are now experiencing an Australian fauna extinction crisis, droughts and dust storms. We are seeking politicians who support long term vision solutions to our Country before irreversible damage is done. HAVE YOUR SAY: www.farmersnetwork.org.au

01.01.2022 Dung beetles are so beneficial!

01.01.2022 There is limited scientific knowledge from decision makers who are making decisions that are definately not in the interests of Australia. Please feel free to log into the survey to have your say - regarding the development of Northern Australia. This concerns thousands of millions of kilometers including our wildest rivers that are left across 3 states. We would like as many people as possible to know that Northern Australia is totally unsuitable for industrial agriculture expansion. http://www.farmersnetwork.org.au//development-of-northern-
