25.01.2022 Exhibitors heading onto the field day site for the final day of CRT FarmFest 2019. Fine weather promises big crowds, so please allow a bit more time to get into the carparks. Remember the buyers afternoon specials today, with gates open until 4.30pm. Entry just $5.



25.01.2022 Expect some delays on the Warrego Highway over the next few days with tens of thousands of visitors heading to CRT FarmFest, Tuesday to Thursday. Its Queeslands largest agricultural field day and the exhibitor sites have expanded this year, so there will be plenty of traffic. Gates open to the public at 9am each day with carparks open from 7.30am. PLEASE allow plenty of time to get here so you can spend the whole day.

25.01.2022 Gates are open at CRT FarmFest 2019, the coffee machines are working and the free shuttle buses are running around the 24 hectare site for your convenience. Simply hail the bus and hop on. Dont forget the Lions Club of Toowoomba West are again operating the Nissan Parcel Pick-Up service, with all heavy parcels (up to 80Kg) able to be transported to the Western car park entrance near gate 3. Gates are open until 5pm today and tomorrow and until 4pm Thursday. Great also to see MMM broadcasting on site from 6am today - the team braved the morning frost to see the sun come up over the tractors and machinery!

25.01.2022 Crowds pouring into CRT FarmFest under blue skies with no wind today. Car parks are filling and the shuttle bus is running people around the ground. Toowoomba Bush Poets Society also presenting poets in action at the Muster Tent in the Clipex Livestock Area, with John McGrady reciting earlier today. Its all happening at CRT FarmFest today and tomorrow at Kingsthorpe, 20km west of Toowoomba on the Warrego Highway. Entry is just $5.



23.01.2022 Its good jacket and hats weather as the thousands of determined field day visitors make their way around the 24 hectare site at CRT FarmFest 2019. Hot food and coffee vendors are doing a big trade too. Weather predictions are for the wind to drop with sunny skies and temperatures up to 18 degrees for Wednesday and Thursday. Gates open at 9am each day and entry is just $5, with kids under 11 in for free.

21.01.2022 Tea and coffee are very popular at CRT FarmFest today as the wind whistles along. Much warmer predictions for Wednesday and Thursday. Among the tea specialists is Mike from Elmstock Tea (pictured) - hes been giving away cuppas for 20 years at this site. You can find him at the CRT stand between rows I and J at the centre of the field day site. Despite the breeze good numbers arrived on day one. Gates open 9am each day and entry is just $5, with kids under 11 free.

19.01.2022 Despite a windy first day at CRT FarmFest, exhibitors report good interest from the determined field day visitors, with bigger crowds expected for Wednesday and Thursday. Managing Director of Leichts CIA, Mark Leicht (pictured), sold a cattle crush to a producer looking for an Australian-made crush which offers safety for his cattle and for the people operating the crush. Mr Leicht says its great to make a sale on day one! CRT FarmFest continues at Kingsthorpe, 20km west of Toowoomba all day Wednesday and Thursday. Gates open at 9am each day and entry is just $5.

16.01.2022 ACM Rural Events wish to advise that CRT FarmFest 2020 is officially postponed. The June event is rescheduled to be staged on Tuesday to Thursday 13 to 15 October 2020.

16.01.2022 Theres a full program of events each day in the new AIM Centre at CRT FarmFest, including the Unbreakable Farmer, Warren Davies, appearing at 11am and 1pm daily at the centre, located at site J10, next to Red River Stockyards. Theres also the Drought Angels, Darling Downs Wellness, and the latest in technology through Yamaha and BioGrow 365. Gates open at 9am each day at CRT FarmFest on the Warrego Highway, 20km west of Toowoomba.

15.01.2022 Gentle rain across the region as the tractors of many colours are set up for CRT FarmFest this Tuesday to Thursday, even the lowline green Ferrari! Fine weather expected for the exhibition and gates open 9am each day, with entry just $5.

13.01.2022 Most of the sites are now full with exhibits, thousands of products on display, all ready for the opening day tomorrow at CRT FarmFest. Forklifts and cranes have been busy for days, especially today as the last products are put in place. Visit us Tuesday to Thursday this week. Gates open at 9am and carparks open at 7.30am. Entry is just $5.



12.01.2022 Final preparations in the Clipex Livestock Area at CRT FarmFest 2019. Competitions commence with led steer and heifers on Tuesday morning and the young handlers and young judges competition Tuesday afternoon. Livestock Manager, Pam Murphy, has increased interest amongst school competitors, with schools from as far away as St George and Murgon taking part. The team from Queensland Electrical Solutions have also added power across the cattle stalls, ready for the hairdryers Tuesday to Thursday this week at CRT FarmFest. Visit the site, 20km west of Toowoomba on the Warrego Highway. Entry is just $5.

11.01.2022 New technology has become available to assist farmers to predict when a tractor or harvester may be in need of repair, well before it breaks down. Using a database of past issues across their ranges, John Deere are now able to keep a permanent connection with these large machines as they work in the paddock to monitor and predict what may affect their future performance. Technical Support trainer with Vanderfield, Richard Harris (pictured), says the service departments can then be ready make a repair before its actually needed, keeping the machine working when the farmer needs it.

08.01.2022 One day left now to attend CRT FarmFest for 2019. Through the day there is a full program in the AIM Centre (site J10), with topics from farm succession planning to ATV/SSV safety education, mental health matters and the Unbreakable Farmer (Warren Davies - pictured). Theres also a thought-provoking message from Rachelle Armstrong, Managing Director of Nutrisoil Biological Solutions, who says both older and younger farmers are showing an increasing interest in products which create an alternative to using chemicals in food production. Rachelle (pictured below with Patrick Armstrong) says as interest in organic agriculture increases, more products are being marketed to allow farmers to access expanding markets with a clean, green image. Her talk occurs at 2pm at the AIM Centre.

07.01.2022 The FarmFest organisers acknowledge it is a disconcerting time for all large events and continue to work with QLD government health authorities who will decide when large events can go ahead. They will do this based on the COVID-19 situation. Currently, our event is governed by the QLD government public health mass gatherings ordinance which is at Step 3 and applies to seated and ticketed events. The FarmFest organisers are fully focused on delivering a COVID safe environment with confidence and approval.

A light frost is lifting but theres not even a breeze on site as the sun shines over the thousands of product lines on display for the 44th annual event. With the expanded exhibitor sites on the northern side of the exhibition, this will be the biggest CRT FarmFest yet! Gates open to the public at 9am each day, Tuesday to Thursday, and entry is only $5. Find us at Kingsthorpe, 20km west of Toowoomba on the Warrego Highway.

04.01.2022 Weighing, washing, drying and trimming in preparation for three days of competition in the Clipex Livestock Area at CRT FarmFest. Tuesday led competitions, young handlers and judges, followed by Battle of the Bulls on Wednesday and Fantastic Females on Thursday. Theres also a Sausage King competition across the day on Thursday. The livestock area is adjacent the main machinery exhibition site and entry is just $5 for the whole show. Gates open to the public each day from 9am.

COVID-19 has dealt a severe blow to the events industry, but it has also presented us with new opportunities to evolve as we formulate new measures to safely stage the in-person event and develop our hybrid event to maximize engagement and expansion of our audience reach with the virtual.... As we plan for the future, ACM Rural Events is committed to the education, inspiration, and empowerment of exhibitors to embrace the hybrid model in a way that is strategic and delivers sales and lead generation over many months. As we immerse ourselves in delivering you a COVID safe in-person event we are planning new features including the Agri-Tech Expo and Education Expo to execute an unforgettable return to FarmFest 2021. 01.01.2022 More than a hundred organisations displayed at CRT FarmFest for the first time this year. Among them, Israeli firm, Dolav, displayed their range of plastic products used in horticulture, automotive and animal by-product industries. Dolav only commenced trading in Australia 14 months ago and have offices all round the world. Many local orchardists are replacing older wooden bins with the new plastic units as they are easy to wash and much lighter. Australian Business Development Manager with Dolav, Stuart Cahill, says producers are also turning to the plastic bins to help them meet not only Australian, but also international food product standards. He says he was pleased with the interest and sales he made at CRT FarmFest 2019 this week.

01.01.2022 Plenty of action in the Vanderfield Machinery Demonstration Area this year at CRT FarmFest, with John Deere tractors pulling cultivators and the huge yellow Pulldozer. Plus, Toowoomba Mitsubishi were demonstrating their Pajero and Triton over the humps and holes set up to test the limited-slip capabilities of the Pajero - and it worked!
