05.01.2022 Taking a moment to admire our neighbours gorgeous Summer Hydrangeas, just over their garden fence, on this last day of 2020 . We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing love and support that our country business has received from both near and afar throughout the year. To share our joy of timeless country living and showcase our curated range of bespoke lifestyle pieces, is what keeps us inspired. As many of you who have been with us for a while will know, there have also be...en many challenges for us as a family, following on from our farming property being burnt through by last January's bushfire. We have grown in so many ways and I believe are far richer in spirit for the hurdles and experiences. It has been both a challenge and a blessing that we have been able to keep moving forward with Farmgate & Twine, whilst the farm recovery unfolded. This could not have been achieved without the amazing dedication of my husband Jim, who has worked with me hand in hand and non-stop for both our dreams to continue. We count ourselves incredibly lucky! I know we are definitely not alone as most worldwide, have and still are facing changes and adversity in one way or another. All of us have been impacted by 2020 and as I reflect, my belief truly is that good wins out in the end... 02.01.2022 The Storehouse . It its always a fabulous mail day when a Pre-Order delivery arrives from Tweedmill Textiles in the United Kingdom! A big thank you to all of our customers who have been patiently waiting as we had a slight delay xx . I feel that this is the year for bringing about patience and understanding. And especially for us in store, as we connect and share a love of handmade... The reality of what this really means, is no mass production and quick fixes for supply sh...ortage (by now I'm sure you all know the Pandemic has something to so with this). I know the waiting can be frustrating, however feel it can also add to the pleasure and intrinsic value when you do actually receive something that is traditionally made with beautiful natural fibres and materials. Hoping what some may see as a downside, can be turned into a better understanding of provenance and cherishing the process. Wether it be a woollen throw rug, handcrafted candle or lovingly screen printed tablecloth - Ending the week's packing and wrapping with a skip in our step as I am reminded of how much our collection has grown and that each and every piece has a special place in the Farmgate & Twine range xx .
