Private buyers bidded strongly and secured more lots than stock agents at last week’s successful FarmGate Auctions Cattle Store & Feeder Sale. The 8am Friday morning sale presented a diverse offering of 21 lots which included Angus and Black Baldy steer weaners, Black Baldy and Speckle Park heifer weaners, yearling steers, PTIC cows and cow and calf units. ... All in all the 126 potential online buyers made up of stock agents and private buyers created strong competition for high quality stock. Driving prices into the all too familiar 600c/kg region for young commercial stock. We have had another great week with 557 head listed and a sale duration of under an hour. We managed to crack two of our PBs, with most vendors in one sale and 175 buyers online.
