25.01.2022 Today saw the group exploring Mandeni. Species seen and heard include Scarlet Honeyeater, White-throated Gerygone and Sacred Kingfisher. We also celebrated 25 years of birdwatching, fun, fellowship and friendship.



22.01.2022 Tomorrow's outing.

16.01.2022 A cool, showery morning saw the group exploring Mogareeka. 56 species were observed including Variegated Fairy-wren, Hoary-headed Grebe and Little Grassbird (heard). Photos by Mike Healey.

05.01.2022 Tomorrow's outing is to Mandeni. Meet at 9:00 am at the entrance gate. The morning will begin with a walk, followed by a BYO lunch at 12 pm to celebrate the club's 25th birthday.



02.01.2022 This morning the group conducted our Spring survey of Panboola Wetlands. Walking through the misting rain, we observed several species of Cuckoo including Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo, Rufous Whistlers seemed to be everywhere and of course Black Swans and Purple Swamphens with young in tow. 01.01.2022 Cannot find the words to describe how I am feeling regarding the terrorist-like attack on a nesting colony of Australian White Ibis in Victoria. I haven't included a link, be warned it's graphic if you choose to seek it out.
