24.01.2022 It was great to hear of FWAS Rugby League players Fletcher Hunt and Braith Boyd greeting involved in a holiday program in Warren. The boys run a footy clinic for the kids attending vacation care during the school holidays. From all reports the clinic and boys were a huge hit with the young Rugby League enthusiasts. Great jobs boys, we love hearing that our athletes share their skills and knowledge within our FWAS communities!!

23.01.2022 EDIT Due to a system upgrade athlete nominations will now open early next week - watch this space!! SAVE THE DATE - 18th Oct ... FWAS Rugby League - male and female tackle trials and FWAS Netball trials will be held at Warren on 18th October 2020 - 9:30am start. Nominations will open on the 14th September with full details about the Programs. Nomination link will be posted on our Facebook page and website. This year we have adopted new age groups for our Rugby League Program as well as introducing Women’s tackle. Age groups for both boys and girls tackle Rugby League will be Under 15’s and Under 17’s.

20.01.2022 A BIG weekend of FWAS Netball! A HUGE thank you to Coll Mitchell from Netball NSW who put our girls through a series of sessions on Saturday. Coll’s time and effort was greatly appreciated by all involved in our Academy - it was so great to see her again!! 20.01.2022 Let the games begin!!!! Tonight we held our first ‘Academy Games’ night, with great team bonding sessions and heaps of laughs!! From balloon trains, to ping pong ball blowing and dry weetbix eating, it was crazy but enjoyable and fun way to kick off our first camp! These Games nights will happen at each camp with a variety of challenges for our teams to endure. We will have an overall winner at the completion of the Program, who will be named Champions of the FWAS Academy Games Congratulations to the ‘Grubs’ who came away with the win tonight!

Welcome back to our wonderful returning members and a big FWAS welcome to our new athletes and families! It was a fantastic weekend in Warren and the FWAS would like to thank Ken and Ellie for going above and beyond to ensure the weekend went ahead and also a big thanks to Bill, Aidan and John for assisting Ken with coaching and mentoring our tennis squad! We wou...ld be lost without our parent volunteers, who behind the scenes prep meals, organise uniforms and step in where needed - we appreciate all of your help! 05.01.2022 WHAT A WEEKEND!!! Thanks to everyone involved in our FWAS 2020/21 Rugby League Orientation Camp!! To our amazing staff, athletes, parent volunteers and external contractors, we thank all of you for making the weekend such a success!! ... A big shout out to Amanda (Nutritionist) and Petra (Bully Zone) for travelling from Sydney to deliver your presentations, Jodie from Empower Exercise Physiology and Nutrition for our S&C programs and Wes from the Warren Sporting Complex for again having the best facilities in our region! Our athletes participated in their education sessions before hitting the training paddock to kick off their 2020/21 rugby league campaigns. We are super excited for what is ahead for our 4 squads!! See you all again in 3 weeks
